Seems there is only one thing to figure out, "what is high?" Sounds like somebody forgot to figure out one little detail and that's when he gets to throw more people in jail.

After 40+ years of smoking herb let me give Bill some expert advice. There is no magic number like a point08 for easy prosecution. Cannabinoids effect everyone differently. An example if I may. Someone such as myself with a relatively high tolerance to cannabinoids smokes a joint with 30%THC and 1% CBD. Subject 2 smokes his first joint 4%THC and 8%CBD. Since different cannabinoids effect people differently wouldn't this be important too to figure this out ??? Who is impaired and by how much ??? Who can quantify this in a meaningful way ??? How long does this assumed impairment last, a hour, a week, a month ??? And the hardest question of all to answer, Who is Bill Blair and why is he in charge of anything ???

He's a clown.
Put in place to be that clown, only to be fired soon come and replaced with a person who actually has an understanding with MMJ in general.

So when is someone in the know going to question the ridiculous argument/need for some form of weed breathalizer when we have far worse drugs to worry about people driving on like opioids? Not that I'm arguing that one form of impairment is worse than the other, impaired is impaired and you shouldn't be driving. My point is why the focus on MJ only and nothing on other pharma meds that can impair your response/judgement much worse than MJ? $#%!

We already have sufficient test to show impairment from any drug, alcohol, tired, stress, ect. The only reason law enforcement is looking for a weed breathalyzer is for revenue generation. Any cop on traffic detail has been trained to do road side sobriety test. They are effective and truly show level of impairment. But to many high drivers pass with flying colors for the cops. Much easier to detect thc in the driver and slap them with a DUI with no regard for impairment. It's happening in Washington and Colorado already. When weed goes legal expect to be a criminal again but now for being "impaired" when your not.

Yeah was referring to the big quest for a roadside weedalyzer specifically to test for MJ impairment while the real addicts on oxy's will go on driving impaired. So fucking hypocritical and you're right on, the way things are headed it may be worse for med patients when it's finally legalized...

Not maybe it will be a sure thing. We will get fucked the hardest. Any blood test looking for thc or its metabolites will screw daily smokers no matter the limit. You will always be over the allowable amount no matter if you're impaired or not.

No mj 'breathalyzer' is going to be an effective tool to prove impairment...an arbitrary number for thc does not prove impairment. We are going to need the courts to force them to prove impairment with a roadside sobriety test rather than an ineffective piece of technology. You're right, patients are going to be over regardless of the number they pick. In Europe they are using a device that simply detects the presence of thc in your mouth and that is enough to charge. Why in the fuck can't they figure out that you need to actually experience the effects of a substance before you can understand the type and level of impairment that is involved? I guarantee Blair knows more about arresting people and violating rights than I do, but I got him and every other person on their panel beat when it comes to knowledge of cannabis. I wish they would start releasing tidbits of the proposed policy so we can tear it apart as we see fit. It is going to be incredibly easy to ridicule and discredit Blair and the committee given that they don't have a clue about cannabis or our culture. Publicly ridiculing Bill Blair relentlessly over his ignorance will be sooo much fun!

Never even thought of that. I've been threatened that so and so would call the police on me and I didn't bat an eye...but "something" to measure...new ball of wax...

and as we said...it'll stay in the courts (giving business) for ??....I don't see an end really..fight for fighting sake it seems!

Lawyers must be salivating at all the opportunities legalization will bring #$%!
