It has to be more than the fact that your closet door was closed. I keep my clone mothers in a closed tent, and they do just fine. Do you have pictures?

Yes i give it water every day. it would of been really hot with the door closed. it looks loads better than it did this morning, the bottom half has come back to life but the top half is totally burnt out. Will it stop growing now the top half is burnt. I am devasted it was 2nd week into flowering 1st plant. really not got a clue what to do with the burnt leaves

Wow, that sucks. I'm going to have nightmares about this one. That didn't happen because of a lack of air but because it got too hot. Your plant got cooked. The biggest buds are always at the top so it might not even be worth growing that out to harvest. You could still take clones from the bottom. It wouldn't be a total loss that way since working with clones is a great advantage over seeds.

You know if it's your first plant and you don't have others to take its place then you should grow it out. I usually have more plants than I really need or have space for so if one got damaged like that I would just remove it. But in your case I would keep it. But those dry leaves are toast for sure. If you trim away what is dead, the living growth tips will have access to light and be able to regenerate better.

And yes, you can take clones now. I've taken clones from a week 4 flowering plant before with 100% rooting success. My clones had little buds on them. It was kind of cool. Just do your research first and keep everything clean during cloning. There's a few youtube videos that show how to clone pretty good.
