hello everyone, quick question for some veteran growers. can i flower my plant on a 15/9 light schedule ? or will flowering only occur on 12/12 ?
will my plant flower on 15/9 light cycle ?

why do you want to do 15/9? I think the plant needs a full 12 to get the best results.

i have an old garden timer and the closest time to 12/12 is 15/9. i think that the obvious answer is to get a new timer. im using 3 cfl's that put out around 4500 lumens. does anyone think that 3 plants is excessive ?
like he said, 12/12 is best but plants will start to flower around 13 hours but thats more or less your limit. Also I think your wasting your time with the CFLs, get an HID or the bery least an envirolite if your gonna go with CFLs. If you must use the lights you have I would stick with one plant or maybe you 2 or 3 clones with no veg time which will keep them short so they get plenty of light to lower branches of the plant.

How big is your space? As for the light question, It sounds like your going to get rid of a plant instead of getting different lighting. Either way, You should get some better lighting like a HPS setup. CFL's are awesome but the light doesn't penetrate the leaves very well from what I've read. I also recognized a really big difference when I made the switch from CFL's.

my space is about 4 x 4 x 5. its a closet grow so im short on space but 2 plants is about what i hoped to be able to harvest

Dude you can fit like 6 in there if you wanted to
you might pull it off. I've flowered at 14/10 safely. My guide says never veg shorter than 16 hrs light and never flower longer than 14 light, 15 hours seems like the "no mans land" for flowering or veging.

i would have to go to a hps / mh setup for six but its good to know that its possible. i think if my first cfl setup goes well i will invest in hps setup. its my first grow so i wanna see how successful this will be b4 i spend the money
