OK, so I put this Chem Valley Kush Seedling (but coulda been an apollo 13 x vortex seedling) into the foxfarm ocean forrest soil directly after germ. waited 3 days for something to pop up, and blamo the end of day 3 it pops up out of the dirt, but alas the seed shell was still tight around it. I tried to pinch it with my thumb and finger carefully but couldn't crack the shell.
I then remembered reading somewhere few months back that Swerves seeds from Cali Connection were known for the seeds being too tight and not coming off and the plant dying from lack of light. SO I paniced (as I often do) and grabbed a swiss army knife scissors and trimmed around the shell and took it off (in the process pulling the tiny root out of the dirt. So i poked a hole with my finger, and put the FFOF around the seedling tail, then watered it. But then looked at the cotyledons and saw they looked like they wern't fully cooked yet. Whereas originally I had thought the shell was stuck, now i'm wondering if it just wasn't ready yet. Look how unfinished they look and how they are still closed... did I screw up bigtime? Is this a strain thing, or did I just kill this cali connection chem valley kush seed?
