Will seeds from hermie plant be feminized?

Got some really gassy outdoor from the triangle, i noticed alot of beans throughout, like average 10-20 beans per oz. If i grow the beans will they be feminized or just regular seeds with the same chance of being male or female, also will seeds have a high chance of hermie? The flower was awesome besides the seeds super gassy and frosty, since it was outdoor i can only imagine the potential if grown indoors

10-20 seeds doesnt sound like a hermie, are you sure there wasnt a Male around even just in early flower? But yes if it was a hermie the seeds will be female there is no Y chromosome, and yes the chances of those plants being hermie will increase, it's only natural that if there is no Male around the plant will ensure self pollination for future generations those plants that did survived its natural selection.

If they were from male pollen they will be typical regular seeds with no particular risk of herm. If they were from female/herm pollen, they will be feminized. If they were from a plant that hermed outdoors, I'd think they'd be higher risk but they might be fine... and bomb. I imagine you don't know where the pollen came from so you'd have to pop a few to see. One single male and you'll know they're regs.

Im going to, just wanted to be certain if its worth the time to grow them vs just ordering from a seed bank
I recently bought 5 seeds from cropking and 4 out of 5 seeds were duds. I also planted 11 bag seeds from unknown strains and so far all of them are doing good. I personally won’t be bothering to spend the money when I have free seeds any more

Its actually really rare to get seeds that are duds, sounds more like you over fussed the exspensive stuff and neglected the bag seed :-)

10-20 seeds per ounce doesn't sound like the plant the bud came from was named Herman. Might be from a normal male. Like mentioned above, pop them and when you see the first male, you will know.

One other thing. If the seeds came from a male, it's quite likely that it happened early in flowering when the males first drop some pollen. Presumably the grower would get the male yanked out as soon as noticed. If the seeds are very full and mature and buried deep in the nugs, they're probably more likely to be regs. Seeds that look like they've just barely finished are probably fems.

Thanks for the info, the seeds are buried deep In the nugs and majority of beans were healthy and viable, there were a few that were immature and white. Sounds like there gonna be regular seeds.

That's no guarantee...just an educated guess. A herm could drop pollen early too. Be vigilant in checking them, but give it a shot with a few if the bud was A+. Good luck!

Hermie seeds from a hermie mother produce up too 70% hermie plants 30% female seed. Seeds from a stable but forced female to male are standard feminized seeds. Still a higher risk of hermaphrodism but through proper testing and breeding can be good. Never mess with seeds pulled from the plant that hermied!

Links to where you are getting these percentage data from please?

@Kingrow1 here’s some data on hermies for you lol

The proper way to produce feminized seed is to vet a solid stable Female. Tested under several conditions and very tough to stress enough to hermie. Take that female and force it to hermie (ussually chemically).
Put that forced female in with mature blooming clones of the unforced female. After pollenation throw the forced female away, never use those seeds! Use only the seed from the normal females. Those seeds will be 95% female. Those progeny will have to be tested before ever being released or your fly by night genetics company will end very abrubtly lol. Never use seeds produced on the hermie plant. I for one have never produced feminized seed. It takes more rm then i have, and i enjoy the hunt.
