Will taking clones from 3 foot mother in veg before putting on 12/12 reduce yield?

Hi,

I have a 3 foot deathstar and as soon as my 810 watt led light gets here (which is 2-3 days), I plan on putting it through a flowering cycle while I keep vegging some smaller plants I have growing. My question is: do I take clones first before flowering or will that reduce the yield. I have attached a picture of it to give you a better idea....it SEEMS like there are plenty of nodes and cuttings I could take which might even be beneficial for the plants because it looks like it needs pruning anyways. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Here's the top of the plant:

Lots of little offshoot nodes with leaves i suppose...

Not only is it OK to do so,
It's the BEST TIME to take cuttings.

Take cuttings from a vegging donor JUST BEFORE flipping on to FLOWER.

At the moment I have 9 plants on DAY 29 of FLOWER
and 24 Small Veg plants that were clipped as cutting (and put into rooting sponges) 30 days ago.

I took them off my 9 plants the day before I switched from VEG to FLOWER.
There's no better timing for it.
