tap water is fine, let it sit out uncovered for 24 hours though it helps eveaporate alot of the nasty shit in it

and if you can ph test it and gut some ph up or down depending on what level it is... in my experience most tap water is around like 7, 7.5 ph not horrible but bad enough

Be careful tho. I used filtered water for the first 2-3 weeks of life of my plants with good results then one day i was in a pinch and had no filtered so i used straight tap water and the next morning my plants were completly dry and near death, one didnt survive and the other took 2 weeks to recover and start growing again. I guess it depends on where you live and how clean your water really is...

I personally think NO.. you should never use tap water in a hydro system, the logic behind this for me is PH fluctuation, will affect (or effect idk which works in this sentence) your micro life which are vital, raise your PPM.. if you clean with HydroPerox and maybe place a *small* amount in your nutrient mix?? (i dont know if this will actually help)this MAY counteract using tap... nice sig btw.. i thought the same thing after tasting the flavor difference of soil ro dro..
Edited part:i have seen the same in others hydro systems, but they were rather big systems and did not know if it was only because of the use of tap...maybe ph ppm your water first before using it..

I use tap for a long time so far so good. No ph flux, except when levels get horribly low, and that will happen any way. No major ppm flux. exept for whats normal. No burn, no lockouts, no ph adjustment. Only big, sticky, stinky, smelly, hairy, healty BUDS. And that is the goal, right?

I use tapwater and have had no issues in 4 months.

But I use Gen. Hydro's Hardwater Flora Micro, so get that if you're using tap water.
