but its starting to reach some of the leaves that have a fair amount of trichomes.. thats why I was thinking of harvesting, before more leaves rich with trichs keep drying up and falling off.

The hairs aren't a for sure indication of ripeness, although My plants do have nearly 100% red hairs before I chop, but I actually want the yellow leaves to dry up and fall off after yellowing. makes the smoke smoother and easier to trim. If the fallen leaves have trichs on them, then just gather them up and later make hash.

it wont reach the buds and it wont bother the trichs either. its natural the plant is using up the last of the nitrogen left.. they look like they are ready to chop.. how many weeks u been goin?,.what strain?

Its an unknown strain and its going on its tenth week I think.. maybe longer, but its not my best looking plant(my first one was the one on avatar) It was my second plant and would not show sex after being on 12 12 for while so I thought it was male...I was wrong so I kinda messed up in the beginning stress wise, consequently the buds are not very dense or big in size but my first female is so im not tripping..also took a clone and is looking good, planning on treating this one with much care hopefully it will bless me with some nice buds:hump:
heres some more pics

i wouldn't chop. looks like you got 2 weeks left i reckon.
if your seriously worried about the N levels, why not just add a little to your water.
you still feeding, or have you gone onto plain water?

you can always dissolve a cup of urine in the water also ( i do around a cup - 8litres), the plants love it as it is a immediate source of N. with a few weeks left, that's what i'd do, only the once, but it will give her a little bit of a kickstart.

dont give her piss, urea is bad for plants. dont give it any N if you decide not to chop let her use all her last resources so you will have the smoothest smoke. you should get a microscope and check her, because depending on the high you want ti could be done.
