He said, the coin was found in the room in which his tent is in, he never said it was in the tent. He called it a grow room, and then clarified that its a tent in a room.

Hope all goes well for you man. Christmas night , i misplaced a card my mother gave me with $100 in it. Couldnt find it anywhere and convinced myself i must have dropped it carrying my kids' presents from the car, but didnt remember grabbing it from the car....yestersay, I found the point of entry on my car. The pasanger door was all scratched by the seam and the rubber strip was all out of place.Someone broke into my busted outback with child seats in it and a bunch of kids stuff(my kids wreak havoc in my car) on christmas night, and took the card that was in an envolope adressed to me and my fiance with a heartfelt card from my mom.

Fuckin people are assholes.

Thanks man and since I set up my grow tent I added a lock to the room the tent is in.


Considering I have a tent I could move everything to another room.

If burglars could enter your house without forcing entry (by which i mean gaining entry through breaking a door, window, lock etc), as supposedly happened, how is a lock on your room going to be of any use. Or do you leave your front door unlocked when the family go out?

I think if I were grand ma I'd be calling the cops if my sh*t were stolen. I certainly wouldn't ask for anypersons permission. And knowing there's a safe in the house, I'd be dam dumb to keep sh*t under the bed. Point of entry being...

Jeeze I live in a fucked up neighborhood I mean really fucked up.
I've never heard of someone breaking and entering and stealing shit from someones home in my area, although I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to try to.
Then again we have huge steel/ironish doors with 2 locks per person and an extra lock that some people have, and you can't climb in our gated windows so I guess a home is easier.
If I lived in a home, regardless of knowing anything beforehand the first thing I would do is put up a 4-8 camera DVR system.
Better safe than sorry.

Home depot and Amazon also sell fake cameras, you pop batterys in them, put them where you like, and they have a red light that beeps and they swivel randomly and have motion detectors in them to swivel at movement but they dont record or view anything they just deter thugs.

Really? That's sort of what thieves do. People tend to hide their valuables, often facilely, in various places... like say under a bed.

Small plants you could just seal up in a tupperware container and throw in a closet or attic, folding up the tent could be a bitch though. Too bad you don't have any legal plants you could put in there instead.

you'd also have thought that if they were willing to steal a near worthless ipod nano; it being christmas day and all, he'd have spent 30 seconds going through presents to see if there was a new psp etc in there.

I just don't believe this story. I guess i'm cynical. It just doesn't add up.

We normally have the doors locked but we were coming home from our uncles where we had Christmas dinner. Went to my moms house first and she claims she forgot to lock the door when we left to go to my dads house.

They had a 30 minute time frame to find the safe under the bed. I guess it was hard for me to believe they found it because I've been in the house all my life and diddnt even know it was there.

Its a pretty clear story to me. Someone broke in and stole stuff. What doesnt add up?

Homie just asked a simple question to which you couldve answered. Or not....no one asked for investigative services to see whether this was legit or not.

I'm no detective, but judging that the silver coins were hidden under a bed, I'd have to guess that someone who knew it was there stole the coins. Probably a family member or close friend.

What are the odds that some random burglar would just waltz into your house, neatly search under a bed and remove the most valuable hidden assets, silver coins (an asset most people wouldn't even recognize as valuable these days). It was totally a family member who took the silver.

It was someone who has been there and knows the place well.. 90% of the time it is a family member, close friend, or neighbor.

I don't know the only possibility is if my grandma told one of her friends but seems rather suspicious. Grandmas doing break ins? All the family was togother on Christmas that is why it is hard to believe family did it.

There was no weed in the room when the break in happened.

Could she possibly need some extra cash and have done it on purpose dude, told one of her friends or boyfriend what to grab?

Sounds plausible to me.

The report was made and no one came to the house. This is what the police said.
There have been a number of thefts. They have their eye on a couple of kids but they don't have absolute proof. They'll check pawn shops but don't expect results. The report helps them get extra help. They've increased their under cover watches checking neighbourhoods more closely. Two extra police in the community tonight for exampl.

No offence because my grandmother died from it, she blamed me for "Taking all her saved $1 Bills" ...Thing is guys Australia hasnt had $1 Notes in over 40 years now :(
