if my understanding of how carbon scrubbing works, as long as the air is being pulled through the carbon only, there will be no smell.
the space is 2 x 1 x 1 feet. The fan pulls at 78 CFM which I guess is 1 1/4 feet per second. Is this enough to "get the job done" as it were? I'm guessing it would because it pulls all the air out of the box in only 2 seconds.
how much air should I be pumping back into the cab?
...
Materials used will be:
1. duck tape
2. small pvc
3. pvc right angle joint
4. pvc cap
5. leggings
6. activated carbon
The amount of activated carbon would be only an inch and a half or so deep, with holes in both the cap and the lowest part of the pvc joint. This small amount is used because the fan that is being used is pretty weak (a moderately powered computer fan).
I may substitute pvc for an aluminum can, pencil basket and a pipe clamp, but the same theory I think applies.
Thanks for the help in advance.
