Will this Closet Set-up work?

This is my 2nd grow, and I really want to make it better than my first.
So, my set up is
1 Mars Hydro 300W LED hanging roughly 18-20" above
2 CFL 20W in lamps 6-7" away from sprout

Using Fox Farm Ocean Forest mixed with some Perlite. Added FloraGro for the first time today, and have FloraBloom for later on. Balanced pH at 6.5. Temperature stays around 85 with 35-50% humidity. 12" inch desk fan on highest setting to maintain air flow, balance temperature and provide resistance for growth.

This is in my closet, a rather small space. The walls of the closet have white paint with some texturing.

Strain is AK-48 from Nirvana Seeds.

Yeah it'll work just fine, it's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like your fan is blowing right at your plant, be cautious of wind burn. Like I said it's only from what I can see in the picture so you may be fine but I've always had my fans blow at the walls or right above or below the canopy.
I literally just harvested a White Widow fem from nirvana back on April 4th.
My set up was 1. 100x6w led panel {180w actual draw} and a small oscillating fan in a spare closet. The closet size is 42in wide 23in deep and 8 ft tall. The led was more than I needed and theoretically if you use one of half the power, maybe not necessarily yield exactly half, it will definitely work though and get you to where you want to go. Looks good BTW.
I'll attach a pic of the aforementioned widow. Happy growing!

After posting, I felt the urge to add more. The people here on this forum are amazing they have helped me with every question and every issue I've ever had. So don't hesitate to ask any question, some of the guys I've met on here really do genuinely care about helping others.

the fan is blowing at about the same height as the pot but not really over the top of it as to directly blow on the plant. i was trying to use the wall as a backboard to kinda diffuse the air while still keeping good flow. i may rearrange that at some point though. thank you for the pictures and the feedback :)

I am going out on a limb, but I would guess that heat and space will be your biggest concerns...but yes, it will work for sure. My first tent was a 3x3, Im guessing about the size of your closet there?

Move your thermometer out of direct light and turn the mars off until the plant is a bit bigger or turn the cfl off and move the mars closer.

100% get rid of those cfl's. All they are doing is adding heat.
i thought that at first, but the plant seemed to be respond really well to them.

Move your thermometer out of direct light and turn the mars off until the plant is a bit bigger or turn the cfl off and move the mars closer.
i guess i will try taking out the CFL for now and move the mars down a bit, as per suggested. i havent had any issues with the heat yet, but i could see that being a problem later on.

Indeed; Ocean Forest is some hot stuff, keep an eye out for nute burns or leaf clawing if you keep fertilizing.
i wont add any more, but i guess i expected that the nutrients in the soil would be consumed earlier on. makes sense though.

They are consumed primarily during the vegetative stage, while some do add veggy nutes, they typically wait until the plant has passed the seedling phase, depending on how long you veggy you may not need to apply liquid ferts until preflower...but do what works for you. If feeding them liquid nutes now is working and not burning them, idk if I would change anything, just be very vigilant for nute burns if you/when you increase the nute strength....I grow in hydro so maybe some more of our veteran soil growers will have more to offer. Happy Growing and good luck Zen :)

here is an update,

turned off 1 CFL, angled the fan down and moved the thermometer to the front of the pot.
noting that the temperature did drop a lil bit from removing the CFL and my humidity has been up

Looks good man. Keep on keeping on.
You said it was AK-48 from nirvana... Is it a regular bean or feminized?
But it definitely looks like you have a nice, happy, and healthy plant on your hands.
I'm sure you already know but in case you don't, if you ever happen to run into an issue and you can't diagnose it yourself in the future, post a picture in natural light. it's easier for other people to diagnose the plant without the blurple colored LED on. HPS does the same thing, they both tend to make the plants look 'unnatural' which in turn makes diagnosing some deficiencies or other issues more difficult.

It is a feminized seed, so that should be good.

And I will keep that in mind about the lighting. It definitely distorts it. So far tho, I havent had any issues. I just wanted feedback on wether my space and set-up would work out for me.

Thanks for the reply :)

Anytime bud.
Keep us updated with pics.
I love nirvana, and always try to check out any grow i find that uses their beans.
Currently, I'm running 4 White widow fems, and 4 Northern light regulars..{all female}. Just about 3 weeks into flower.

I decided beforehand that I wanted to try out the Main-Line or Manifold method for this plant, for a few reasons.
First of all, it seemed like the most efficient way to work within a limited space such as mine.
And the yield on my first grow was quite low. With this method, distributing energy equally and clearing out undergrowth, I should be able to focus my growth up top and each one will be equal.

I topped and defoliated it last night (5/17) , leaving some of the lower fans on for now. Not sure if they will help, but i wanted as many energy receptors as possible to make recovery from the topping faster. Feel free to let me know if that is right or wrong.

Pretty sure the white residue on the leaves came from water drying on them after watering the plant. Will work on avoiding it, even tho it doesnt seem to be harming anything.

I've gotten that same residue with no probs before, wouldn't worry about it! Just be careful when defoilating...remember; big leaves are what power big buds...the more nice, big green leaves she has going into flower, in general, is the bigger she can make her buds...I also understand cutting away just enough so that you actually increase the plant's efficiency...just remember not to go overboard. :) Looking great man, keep it up.

Well, I just noticed last night that half of my LED panel has gone out. It may have even been out for those last pictures, as you can see a lot more of the natural green in them instead of full purple.

For the time being, I kicked my other CFL back on and lowered the LED as to make the working half more effective.

What do you guys think I should do?

The only permanent solution is to get a good LED, like a CREE COB...but they are very expensive. You could do that, or try to supplement with CFL lighting until this plant is done....have you heard of LEC fixtures?....Have a look at the 315w and see if that wouldn't fit in your space. It produces much less heat, they say, than HID's do, but still looks like a conventional HID...

Also, if you do want to get another LED on the cheaper side, then I'd go with one from Amare....still not cheap, but there is at least one reputable person on RIU I know that uses those and those only with great results.

Mars are well known for their low quality builds..
What are the dimensions of your cab? Might be I could suggest something that will really perform well and suit your space.
