Will this hurt me in the long run??

I have a 39 day old plant that is looking pretty good so far, small and bushy.I am using a 10litre pot with a bottom well for watering.I just fill the bottom with water and it draws water as needed. The other day i noticed that some of the roots are beginning to grow through the slots in the bottom of the pot and into the water itself at the bottom(sort of like an unintentional hydro set up!!).I have been keeping a close eye on the color of the roots(white so far).
Will this hurt my plant in the long run?As long as i keep an eye on the roots and don't flood them with water, and let them air out sometimes?
I will include some pics to help you help me.
(the 2 pics of the roots, the big white thing in the middle is the wick, the rest are the roots)

The roots are reaching for their only source of water. Try watering your plant from the top, in other words, pour the water directly into the soil. Plant looks great otherwise, bushy and healthy looking. It doesn't look like it's flowering yet so you may want to consider transplanting into another pot, maybe a bit deeper to get those root tips back in some soil. I'd worry about your roots drying out between waterings, or becoming saturated by sitting in the tray when there is water in there.Deeper pot, water from the top is my suggestion.

when u water through the bottom dont let it soak in the water let pot sit in water for about 30 min and then romvewater and the air will ptune the roots back into the soil my plants do it to its fine

Yeah,it's still in the veg stage right now.It is only 39 days old.Planted it on dec 1.It was a seed i found in my sack one day.Thinking it is a kush strain because that is all my guy usually gets(if anyone thinks they know what it is,let me know).I am just waiting for the calyxes to form so i can determine it's sex then i will put it into flowering.I put enough water in the bottom to half cover the roots, and they drink it up within hours(they don't sit in water to long, and they don't air out to long either).I am scared to try and transfer it to another pot because i am a clutz and don't want to fuck it up!!I also have to be careful about watering from the top because i had a fungus gnat problem from over watering and read that they love it when you water from the top.My next grow though i am going to invest in a bigger pot.Same style, only bigger.
I also have a sudden craving for skittles!!!

well the plant is definatly indica dominant thats about anyone could tell u abou the strain, also wait longer before waterings wait till u start to see them droop abit and then water so u know when to water again right before it droops and if u water from the top the roots will reach up for the water id waterd litely, adding water at the bottom is what makes the roots grow towards,

ithink its doing great. by allowing the plant to drink from the bottomit allows the plant to soak up just the right amount of water i wouldnt change anything but maybe transplanting it-the pot looks big enough tho how big is the pot. Thats one of the biggest plants ive ever seen at that age good job

Will the roots continue to grow through out it's life,or is there a point when they slow down or stop?I will try the watering from the top and see what happens.I will keep posting pics as i go to help answer any questions i may have.

The pot is a 10 litre pot, with a water well in the bottom.I bought it at wallmart for like 5 bucks i think.Next time though,i am going to buy the next size up.Looked to be a 20 litre pot.It is pretty big for it's age.I took about an inch off the top last week, and i don't think it even noticed.I am also using a 200w sunblaster cfl bulb.I have limited space and heat was a major concern of mine.Seems to be doing the trick though. We'll have to see how it works for flowering.

Think i have a solution for my root problem, gonna put planty down.Turns out it is a male. Was checking for caylxes last night, and noticed a male pollen sack(looks almost like a bunch of bananas),It is the first caylxe i found, and it already popped(it's the only one on the whole plant so far!)!Although now,i can learn how to do the things i was scared to do earlier like lollipopping and cutting clones.I might as well learn how these things are done on a test plant before i try them for the first time on a good plant. So i won't be walking away with any nugs this time,i will be walking away with experience, which is good, but not as good as blazing my own chron!
