Will this improve my vegg and save $$?

I am planning on leaving my 600 watts leds on 12/12 after my current grow finishes and when it finish I will scatter 100 watts worth of cfl to keep plants vegging for the next 12 hours per day. I cant vegg the 600 watter with out my electric bill tripping but so im thinking of ways to save money and push the plants to the limit with vegg. do you think it would work? The rooms 3x3 with 6 plants is what im planning on vegging once my griws done. Do you think it would work?
Also one last question on one of my clones i see crazy root growth but slow upper growth and early yellowing. The clone is only a week and a half old.

Correct me if I am in error, but I thought LEDs used less electricity than CFLs.:leaf::leaf::finger:

Dude im using 600 watts, 600 watts of any light will eat up alot of power.
The output may be 600 watts equivalent, but that does not mean that the different types of lighting sources use the same amount of electricity. The amount that LEDs use compared to HIDs is not the same, what they give off may be comparable, but the LEDs use less actual electricity for the same amount of output.:leaf::leaf::finger:

No reason why it shouldn't work fine and save you some money and I seriously doubt you'd really even notice much of a loss in growth.

You are planning to have the 600 watts of LEDs running for 12 hours, then have 100 watts of CFLs kick on, LED panels go off, CFLs stay on for 12 hours until the LEDs come back on right?

?

A watt is a watt regardless of type of light or anything else. Has nothing to do with efficiency. For efficiency, you'd have to add more into the equation to measure work performed or produced, such as grams per watt for example, using the same amount of watts and compare.

I only brought up 600 watts of LEDs because you stated that you were using them in your OP and my thinking is that the purpose of using LEDs is they use less power to operate. Apologies for getting side tracked.

I like the idea of switching between the two sources of light and I'm curious to see how this would work. Test your theory and keep us posted of how it works out for your grow. Pictures would be nice if you decide to test this out. A picture of the troubled clone might make it easier for someone to help.:leaf::leaf::finger:

Dude you are so argumentative 600 watts as in 600 watts enough to put a hole in your pocket now if it was 600 equivalwnt i wont be making this thread my leds read 600 but they actually draw up to 700 becuase of built in fans. I am looking for ways to cut around becuase i dont have a vegg light besides shitty cfls.

Correct i wanna know if the cfl will be able to keep them vegg at 100 watts for 12 hours

But since we are still going there. I was not trying to be argumentative or change the subject of your post. My thinking when you mentioned using LEDs, is that LEDs use less power to operate. Example: If a regular 100 watt light bulb and a 23 watt CFL is equivalent to the same 100 watts of output, but the CFL uses less electricity to produce the same 100 watts. kiss-assIf I am wrong I am wrong, either way I have apolgized because it doesn't matter:leaf::leaf:

No worries ms bbb i think alot of dumb asses been marketing the idea of 90 watt = 400 when it does not, but what leds will do is give you the denses nugs you ever felt, i had a 7 inch plant that gave me half an Oz dried. Also i noticed quality and taste and frost goes way up under LED. LEDs tend to focus more of trichomes, i grow same strain out door and see less frost, less density the buds were kinda fluffy and huge and leafy. Ill show difference in a pic

Same plant but outdoor and it was 15 inches only gave me 6 grams of some OK bud
see the difference, thats y i chose led for potency not yield but the power bill is sure kickin my nuts to be growing stressed plants i barely learned ph and nute giving this week.
