Will this light work?

Just came across this light on craigs list and there only 30 dollars apiece with bulbs. 200 watt high pressure sodium with ballast attached. hell 30 bucks why not if its hps.
Just wondering if this would be better for flowering than cfl which i am currently using.

I would at least check out that hps. sounds interesting.

If you can easily cool your flowering area than go for it - those lights are going to give you a loooot of heat (ballast plus light right above your plants) - but in most grow situations these would be too hot.

if you can sort out the ventilation for the hps then that would be better then cfls for flowering

perfect for growing.........their industrial hps lights so heat and space will be the issue. Those lights are freakin huge for one, and their usually placed in warehouses or places that have high ceilings, there not designed for low heat output. and make sure they're not to be hot wired. they most likely don't run on a standard outlet in your wall.
