Will this survive or should I start over?

Basically came to the conclusion that she's over watered via two posts. Could have some lighting issues too
Do you guys think the roots have already dampened off and I should just start over or should I transplant into my 5 gallon pot and fix watering?
I just don't want to transplant if its not going to survive.

Tent conditions:
82F 60% humidity. was not watering with a lot of water but was watering frequently with small amounts.
Inside a Pete moss jiffy pellet also heard those weren't the best.
LED 100 watt non adjustable light about 30 inches above Spider farmer SF1000
18 hours on 6 hours off sour d auto

The healthier picture is what it looked like yesterday.
The horrible looking one is today
Thanks in advance

That doesn’t look like damping off, that usually attacks the stem and the plant will flop over and die.

Peat pucks can work fine but are finicky. They are easy to oversoak and they also dry out real fast if you have a fan on them.
If the puck feels heavy, it’s too wet.

Roots will shoot down to the bottom of a small puck fast too. You said auto - probably a good idea to transplant sooner than later to a bigger pot so the roots can go to town.

I do have a fan on it and It tends to feel dry but the bottom just feels softer than the dry top but not necessarily dry.
Going to transplant tonight. The puck always feels pretty light hours after I watered but I am a first time grower so maybe I just cant tell.
Thanks beavis

Get rid of that netting around it. Stop watering every time you think about it and transplant. But cut that damned netting off.

…But cut that damned netting off.
Almost said something similar about netting too. If the roots have reached it already it’s easy to tear them when trying to peel that shit off. The puck will also wanna fall apart once it’s free of that netting.
Just be gentle, get it planted tonight and then try to leave it the hell alone.
It has a good chance of making it if you can resist the temptation to kill it with your excessive love (and water).

First DWC I ever did was a plant I had to take out of the container and rinse all the organic material off the roots in a bathtub. It never missed a beat. Unless you’re all thumbs roots can tolerate being handled and not have a problem.

Yeah, I’ve abused the hell out seedlings and clones too including shaking all the perlite/vermiculite out of the rootballs before transplanting them into hydroton. Have also torn apart veggie seedlings with intertwined roots and they bounce back fine.

My concern here was with it being an auto and therefore having less tolerance for abuse.

I just did the transplant. When I cut open the netting all the soil seemed dry. It felt soft which made it hard to tell if it was moist but no where in the soil was moist. Even when the bottom part broke off that I felt earlier through the netting that felt moist. Is there any way Im underwatering or are we certain that Im overwatering and not underwatering. For some reason I cant wrap my mind around how I am overwatering especially after seeing the dryness of the soil when transplanting.
The soil is damp in the pot I transplanted to should I wait till it dries out to do the first watering?
