ok i have a tent just got one inline fan tho im thinking right now im in veg so i dont need filter right now. what i want to do is run the fan as exhaust for light and when i need filter have the filter on the roof from that to the light hood then from hood out the tent tho the top i have 2 places i can put the exhaust tho and thinking of having a passive intake i have 3 vents on the bottom and that can be sealed and opened and one hole that i use for all my cords in to the tent

Tents tend to build up heat easy.. Make sure you have a air cooled reflector with ducting and high velocity inline fan. Direct that fan as close to the bulb as possible pulling the heat from the bulb. That is if you are using a HPS.

i have a sealed air cooled reflector. ya it heats up fast i have 2 200w clfs right now for cloning and a 400w hps and you can feel the heat when you turn on the hps but for right now im using it for light for my mother plant im starting and heat for the room right now im still some what on set up still some things i need to pick up. a fan controller temp guide and some ducting but im home all day right now so i can just go in and open it up when it feels to warm and let it cool a bit will get the rest of the stuff this work or next tell then i got to do there job

I recommend a 6in High Velocity. That sounds like a 4inch, Also make sure the ducting doesn't have any turns or anything in it for maximum CFM capacity. a15 Degree angle in ducting can loose 25% of air flow or some crazy number like that. I have a 400Watt in 1 of my tents.. I have a 260 CFM fan and the heat is only traveling 2 feet! so it will expel my heat in like 00.002 Seconds after turned on or some number close to that. I keep my extractor fan on the same timer as my lights. Just remember air needs to be changed 20times per hour. so every 3 minutes
