Well I did not bring down the DP as planned last weekend, but I plan for the ax to drop tomorrow.

Saturday will be day 71 from flip to 12/12.
She has bulked up well and the buds feel really dense.
I’m excited to see how the buzz is with this strain. I’ve never grown anything anywhere close to it before.
Cheers,
WillieP

Brought the Durban Poison down today.
Really nice solid buds, that had turned some pretty cool colors.
Trimmed all the fan leaves off of it by hand, then ran it through a bowl trimmer.
I have it in a drying rack now, time will tell how much weight there was.
Overall I am happy with the grow in general, although there were some issues along the way. But one does not improve their growing skills without a little strife.
I will move the '1968' over to the flower tent tomorrow, and will be able to start two new strains from seed as well. (I shit canned the hempy bucket plant, just couldn't get the PH squared away)
I have a maximum plant count of five. 1968 to flower, a Bruce Banner and a Missouri Northern Light X Atomic Bomb in 2 gallon fabric pots of soil, and will be able to have two new strains. One of them will be the M99 that @MO_Grow was kind enough to provide and I will have to look through the seeds to determine the other. Decisions, decisions, decisions...
Cheers,
WillieP

colours are fantastic. How does it smoke?
Hey LG,
So I wanted to follow up on your question on how the Durban Poison smokes.
I tried a test vape of the trim, because the buds are still to wet.
In attempting to describe the high to my wife I said 'that will take the lazy out of ya'.
Very euphoric and energetic!
Lets say you were at a party and having a great time, unfortunately you get called away for something.
But then you were able to get the problem cleared up, and return to the party.
That feeling of excitement as you rejoin your friends is what this high felt like to me.
Just on the edge of a grin...all the time.
I tend to group the effects of cannabis into two categories, getting high and getting stoned.
This is definitely, getting high.
I only took two hits and the high lasted 1.5-2 hours. Very enjoyable.
I'm not much for giving a smoke report, but I hope you get the idea.
Cheers,
WillieP

She is a He! >:(

That is/was the 1968 strain that I have been very much looking forward to.
It is now in a garbage bag.
Totally a rookie mistake to allow it to get to this point without realizing that it was a male.
Not going to lie, I'm pretty bummed about it. (I even have four clones of it)
I do have access to seeds of this strain that were recently produced, so I will be able to see what it's all about at some point.
For now, I will start a Mazar seed to take it's place.
Mazar, Pineapple Express and C99 are the next seeds to get wet.
Cheers,
WillieP

Hey All,
So it's been a long time since I updated.
These are the two plants that I currently have in flower.
They are at 6 weeks since flip to 12/12.
They are starting to fill out a bit.
This style of growing is very foreign to me. These are in 2 gallon fabric pots filled with soil.
Pots aren't large enough for the size of the plants, and I know JackShit about growing in soil.

I am going to give it a go at Hempy buckets again. This time from seed, and hopefully with greater success.
I have a Pineapple Express, 3- M-99's and a Grape Ape up and going in solo cup hempy starters.
I will cull two of the M-99's to maintain my plant count. (where I am, a plant doesn't count till it reaches 5 inches.)
So far, So good!

As I have stated, I will be glad to be back to Hydro.

Cheers,
WillieP

What made you go with dirt for these plants?

Thanks that plant is out of control lol. I'm going to be taking clones from it this weekend.

I was gifted these clones already started in soil.
I originally received three clones in 6 inch pots.
I attempted to move one over to a hempy bucket, but was unsuccessful. The plant was to large for that type of move, and I couldn't control the PH.
The other two I chose to just finish out in soil. I up-potted them to 2 gallon fabric pots, but that is not nearly large enough for this size of plants. I'm sure they are root bound.
Going to try hempy from seed this next round and see if I have any luck with that.

Cheers,
WillieP

Ah that makes sense. Are you worried about getting bugs in your garden from other people's clones?
LG,
Actually I was, and yes it happened.
These clones came with a mite infestation. I have been able to keep it under control, but have been unsuccessful at eradicating the issue. Fortunately I have a separate veg and flower tents, so it didn't effect my last harvest.
There are in week 7 of flower now. After this harvest I will do a serious cleaning. And my next plants are a long way off still.

Thinking maybe a couple more weeks.

That's a bummer. There's lots of clones on kijiji for cheap, like $50 for four, but I'm terrified of bringing in more problems after the PM issue.

It looks like you're going to have a nice harvest!

Is there something you can dip clones into before you bring them into your grow area?

Hey LG,
This is a product that you may be interested in.

They offer a free sample, for the cost of shipping.
It's a concentrate, and is enough to make 2 gallons.
This was recommended to me by a member of another forum.
I ordered the sample and was impressed with it.
I know Canada is strict on what can come in, but this is all natural so I think it would be fine, although I don't really know.
Check out their website and see what you think.
Cheers,
WillieP

I use a UVC light in my garden and on my harvested buds. Also in my house to cut down on PM... haven’t had a problem since

Well another 10 day have passed.
For as much complaining as I have done about the soil grow, these are starting to fill in nicely.
(and I have learned my fair share along the way...)
