CO2 - One Carbon Atom and Two Oxygen Atoms. CO2 is 53% heavier than dry air and will drops to the lowest point. You will have high CO2 levels in your basement, and none in your attic. So it's better to grow in your basement. 
Plants in a closet, tent, or room, can quickly take in all available CO2 and hit the breaks on growth. Even with your windows open, indoor CO2 peaks at about 400 ppm. With winter coming and your windows closed, your plants in a closet, tent, or room, will quickly intake all the available CO2, stalling and stunting growth. Once your indoor CO2 drops below 300-250ppm, your plants stop growing, regardless of feeding or lighting because they can't fixate carbon that just isn't there to take in. Plants take in CO2 and creates sugars to grow. Supplementing CO2 to 1200-1400ppm, dramatically increases growth, and also increases water use efficiency reducing transpiration rates.
If you're growing indoor, supplementing CO2 is the single most important thing you can do to boost your yield. Our CO2 Blaster comes with a 15 foot air line with 5 feet of perforations so you can easily hang it above your plants. And the line is long enough to keep the bucket outside your tent or off to one side in a room.
