just wondering if you can put a small plant on a window ledge inside of a house facing the east and let it grow using natural sun light? btw would this be good sunlight to make clones root?

Window ledges are great for starting seedlings when its good weather, but its pretty unrealistic to expect to keep it outside once it starts getting larger. Most people usually just move them inside once they lose their trainer leaves.
And for the light that you get, I think you'd end up with a small, stunted plant, due to not enough light, I've had several plants die on me when they were growing due to not enough light.
That being said, it'd be worth a shot, get one seedling out on the ledge and have the rest inside under a light. See how the one outside goes, if it goes well, bring the rest outside, if not, bring the one on the ledge in.

As for clones taking root in sunlight, it should be fine, as long as you have enough sunlight.

I guess i didn't know if it would work for the cannabis plant, however i do have a cucumber plant i've grown from seed in a bubble bucket with a clear 1 gallon rubbermaid container. ive grown it on a window ledge and put up some netting to let it climb it. heres a pic. the window is facing the east with no direct sunlight and a screen outside the window. just thought yall might like the idea.

hmmm....I would imagine your plant would stretch like a sum bitch in a window. I know my seedlings did and we get intense sunlight where I'm at
