Winter temp problems

Temps are at 65f lights on cycle (600w cooltube with 450cfm exhaust, carbon filter setup) noticed this morning when watering temps were a bit low 2 hours into light cycle so I moved my little probe in the middle of my canopy at the hight of my tops, a couple hours later still 65 so I turned my fan down a notch, still at 65 an hour later.. I turned my fan on the lowest settings just a couple minutes ago and if that doesn't work I'm screwed because my carbon filter is hooked up to it so I can't turn my exhaust off without smell being an issue. My intake is a booster fan, at 220cfm I think. Am I in need of a small heater in my room? And will that be in need of a dehumidifier? Id really like to have my fan on full setting but 65 while lights on is pretty cold! I'm afraid to check tonight when lights are off!

Please and thank you!

a little heater with its own thermostat works great

or some ppl like to warm the water if hydro instead of the air

ebay sell cheap heaters with thermostats, you can get a wide range. i'm currently on the hunt for 1 aswell now the problem i have is which 1 to get i'm thinking about a small radiator style heater as it doesn't give off any light, alot of the 1's i've looked at have the heating elements behind the safety grill and i've been wondering how much if any light they give off?

Yeah I have this small heater that has temps prorgrammed like 60,65,70,75,80 so I think ill try it. My thoughts on that is will humidity be a problem?

i say give it a go mate and keep an eye on it and see what happens, i know alot of heaters out there don't affect humidity but i'm sure some do, i'm gonna be rolling the dice on monday and ordering 1

Cool I wasn't sure because I know ac units mess with humidity and wasn't sure if heating would lower it or what not. Ill be placing it in there and adjusting it every hour till I find a good set up.

I would agree with you robert if I didn't live where I live.. lol.. 65 is pretty bad when you think - its just the beginning of winter (not even an inch of snow and we get feet here.), plus its just going to get worse at night and during the rest of winter since its still 25+ degrees outside and it gets below 0. - plus I don't want purple buds unless I have a purple strain :P

Anyways I put my little heater in there set at 70degrees and already and improvement.. now to think about nights wether I should keep it on at 70 or turn it off? Guess ill just have to see what the temps drop to tonight.

I had a similar problem where i live and put a heater in there. just a small one and it worked GREAT! i left mine on all night because even thought the ambient temp of the room will be roughly the same, under the light right where the plants are should still see a dip in temp (which is great) because there wont be heat from the light right there. Also, with regards to the humidity stuff, i had worried about that too, so i got a couple small containers filled with water (one right in front of the heater) and didnt have any humidity issues. Stayed above 55 the whole time. as long as you have a closed off space, should be good to go!
