Winterizing CO2 CBD oil

Hi guys,
I'm trying to winterize CO2 CBD oil (20%CBD 1%THC). This oil have many waxes. So i've tried to winterize it (48h, -20ºC ) and coffee filter it. But so many waxes keeps in the filtered solution. Do i winterize it more and more times until it is clear? Im looking for infos about winterizing this special oil (CO2 CBD oil).
Thank's!

Thank's!!

Ok but it's difficult to do that inside the freezer..
How cold i have to keep the solution i want filter with the vacuum method?

Speed makes up for the warmer ambient. Change out filter disks every 100 - 200 mL to keep flow rates up. I'm a fan of the large 110mm porcelain buchner, and a 2000mL erlenmeyer, and whatman 110mm discs freeze that buchner with the winterization so the fitering that happens will be chilled.

Ok thank's, there is some major différences between coffee filter (10-15ul) and whatman#1(10ul)? And ok for the speed up and i will separate various little jar in freezer to have it at coldest when filtering..
Thank's a lot

Im trying to make eLiquid and im going to mix that pure CBD oil after winterized it with propylen anyway (still some hesitation with PEG400) can i direct winterize that fat oil with propylene into freezer? Ive just put right now a little jar with PG and fat CBD oil mixed to see whats happend when filtering after 48h in freezer.. Will the cannabinoïdes dissolves with PG and the fats separates? And mixed with PG i dont need to evaporate nothing (i used iso 99% to winterize), just filtering processes..

Hi,
Ok thank's.
What´s the right amount of isopropyl 198 proof i have to mix with 20g of this so fat oil befor i put in the freezer ? 3 parts of isopropyl and 1 of oil, is that enough? After48h -18°F freezing, the solution is still too fat to bee filtered..

Winterization works better with more polar ethanol or methanol.

I do it by eyeball but winterize closer to 10:1. When at -18F, the solution still needs to pour like alcohol.

I can buy 95% ethanol mixed with 5% isopropanol it's ok? ...or 99.9% methanol. Methanol make me afraid without Rotavapor.. Are the vaps and the potent residuals more dangerous?

Just get some 95% (190 proof) grain alcohol, like everclear.

Ok and it's everclear better than isopropanol to extract cannabinoids from buds? what solvent will extract less of chlorophyl and waxes?

Either will work, but Isopropyl is more aggressive, and so requires shorter soaks. It will accomplish as much in about 30 seconds, as ethanol does in 3 minutes, when extracting frozen.

We use Ethanol, because it is less toxic.

Ok, thank's, but will the final result be the same? The ploarites arent same and i would know what solvent take off minimum waxes and chlorophyl for best results

Yes QWET would be perfect but we have 10 kilo every 6 weeks buds hemp to extract..trying now to extract with a solvant recovery system..it work well and decarb too..and the good taste oil nothing compare to CO2 bad taste and full fats and green oil...But the CO2 oil is buyed in Europe and ratios CBD/THC very nice 20-1.. Our hemp 3-1

Have heard everclear more safe than isopropanol..but msds health scale said respectly 2 and 1..

Do you ever drink ethanol? Now, would you drink isopropyl? Methinks not. Frankly butane, if pure, is likely the safest according to a msds, also could be that nobody sips enough tane over their life to get sclerosis.

Either way, my position is a clean solvent, adequately purged should leave no harmful residual. Many msds dangers are cited based on very heavy exposure over time, check ld50 numbers...

As SP notes, Isopropyl is enough more toxic, to be used to denature Ethanol.

The reason Ethanol has been beaten to the ground on the MSDS, is because of the extensive in depth research done on ethanol abuse, how alcoholisim destroys our bodies in excess, and how it unravels the fabrics of society.

Less folks drink Isopropyl in excess, because they go deaf and then die.

A key point with Ethanol, is that in small quantities, it has been shown to be salubrious, so it is the abuse responsible for the bad rap.
