I have 3 42w bulbs and 3 porcelain sockets, and a plug wire from a tv. I have a few 22awg wires i think i can use between the cfls in parallel and hook those up to the plug. I want this do be 100% safe, even leave room for expansion later. Are these wires thick enough or not? am i right in guessing the wires for parallel must be the same length or it doesn't matter?

Have a look see at what I did. A 16 gauge extention cord with pre-wired porcelain sockets and a few wire nuts. This set-up is just temporary for me but if it helps you, all the better!
