Wiring

To all u Tech heads out ther:

I have a two speed fan that I want to be able to switch with a single switch.

Any help?

I’ve included a pic (see below).
Basically two L one N.
This is the last thing I need to do to get my little rig started...

That L1, L2 , N, is for wiring to 220VAC (European standard I suspect)
It already looks to be wired for 110VAC (North America).

Since you have to ask about it I suggest taking it to a shop.

Simply needs a 2 way switch, connect 'Live' To 'Common' on switch, 'L1' on switch to 'L1' in fan, 'L2' on switch to 'L2' in fan.

That's not enough info for me. Maybe with a few more photos of the rest of the wiring or make and model so that we can look the info up. A schematic would be real nice. To me, the photo you included shows where to connect the incoming power connection. I would want more info before instructing you how to tamper with mains power from afar.
