...Wisdom teeth?

I just got my 4 wisdom teeth out yesterday and I hurt like hell, even though I'm taking some drugs for it... It just sucks that I can't smoke for like 2 weeks?! Impossible. I don't wanna dry out the sockets but god I really need to get high.

Did any of you get your wisdom teeth out and smoke anyways? Or is that bad...?

I don't know. What did all of you do?

Blah.

I'm in Pain. No blunts, but what about hitting it and in and out of the nose or something?

Hey aliex, I had mine taken out years ago.And I smoked weed and cigs right afterwaeds with no ill effects.
I think its more important to keep the holes clean,even though they are probably stitched shut, food can still get in there and cause infection.
The Dr.,had given me a syringe kinda thingy,that I would fill with water and gently blast the food out of the holes.Mine healed up up with little pain and no infection.
Just my 2 cents.

I would suggest not smoking through your mouth. You don't want dry socket...it sucks believe me.
I love how they all think just because they did and were fine, you'll be the same. Everyone is different.

Either make some bomb ass brownies, cookies, or cake....or take a shotgun up the nose.
Just my 2 cents...

Just keep it clean, I smoked everyday from a couple hours after the surgery and was fine. Use gause and lots of small sips of water. Also when your sucking on the bong or pipe take tiny slooow rips so the suction doesnt dislodge the clot.

I'm not sure about this but I beleive taking hits through your nose ( aside from being retarded) can still cause dry sockets. Everything is connected so when you suck in through your nose, your still building pressure in your mouth. Although....I still smoked, I really only did it once a day and took super small hit.

People have said dry sockets is worst then Childbirth,,,,,seeing as I can't give birth..lol I can't tell you if it's true of not.

Okay, I just don't want to dry out those sockets, I just got paranoid.

19. They just all came in at once. It was so weird. I could if I wanted to, I'm just trying to be careful.

Can't eat. It sucks, I've tried to eat ice cream and warm (not hot) cream of chicken soup and it hurt

I haven't done it through my mouth yet, I was gonna at least wait to smoke through my mouth until saturday, but I was just wondering if there are other ways too. Cause 24 hours of not smoking is REALLY hard for me lol.

Okay. I will. I kept water by me for sure. When does it generally start to be okay to smoke again though?

Really? that's true... I've been really careful so I'm sure a couple hits aday through the nose with gauze and water should be alright? I'm not going to overdue it at all though.
I'm not trying to find out, that's all I know...

I'm good with not smoking squares for a week or two. It's the weed though, I tell ya!

As I said, I smoked within two-three hours after the surgery. And after five days my dentist said I could smoke ciggarrettes again if I did (I don't) Mine was almost painless, a few days were kind of bad but i have a high tolerance for pain. Just eat soft food for a couple days relax and if you dont feel safe about smoking make a firecracker.

Maybe a vaporizer would work well too...if you can get your hands on one. No suction needed.

a dry socket is not an infection. It is the clot coming out of the socket which exposes bone to air. There are nerve endings in that exposed bone, which cause the pain. The reason not smoking is suggested, as is not drinking through straws, or doing any activity that causes suction, is because the suction can pull the blood clot out of the socket.

That is the risk. I smoked and didn't. just kind of a gamble. Some people don't smoke and get them. you should keep the area clean while it is healing. Try warm salt water rinses. Don't swish vigorously, just let it slosh around back there.

Never really thought about it but the gravity bong may be a good way. You don't use suction really, more force it into your lungs.

Okay. Here's a question... I'm a little paranoid about all this and as much as I want to smoke, how long would I have to wait till it's okay to smoke again? Like... tops.

Because I just don't wanna gamble on that shit, it sounds too painful and I don't have the money to fix that shit.
Just, if I decided not to smoke... how long would I have to wait...?

When I got one of mine pulled, i wasn't allowed water. Couldn't even rinse my mouth. Dentist said the suction from drinking could cause it. Not saying it will...like I said, I never got dry sockets.

Perhaps chew down on gauze placed on the hole though to sorta cancel out the pressure, It's what I did but I smoked though my mouth.

Sorta depends on how much you like smoking weed really haha. I liked it enough to risk it.
