So i woke up today to see one of the leaves reaching for the light and not looking so healthy, the same leaf on the other side is starting to discolor. There all under cfl's, in miracle gro, under a 19-5, 80 degrees during the day, 72 at night, humidity was low at 45-48 cuz i was running my ac more then usual, put an end to that and its back at 60 during the day, and an rh of 68 at night. Im assuming light stress, even though i have no clue how you cause it nor what it looks like, i only say light stress cuz the most stressed leaf was tilting up to the light. Wouldnt say heat stress because well, there cfl's, not much heat to give off unless there touching, but i never let mine touch the plants, about 4-6 inches from the tops.

The first picture is the one opposite the side of the really bad one, its just starting to yellow and get brown specks, the second picture, the center leaf is not looking happy at all, and the smaller leaf next to it appears to be turning black.

btw these are my lowest leaves if you cant tell by them being 3 leaves big lol

i just transfered from jiffy seedling starter maybe a week ago, last plant was in miracle gro tho, no problems with it

and other 2 plants arent showing this problem, was just this one plant, and that 1 leaf was really trying to say whats up to the light

The two are not related, that is a good sign as long as the leaf is not rolling or folding

What nutrients do you plan on using when your soil depletes its supply?

A better photo of the entire plant would be helpful

wasn't gonna use any nutes, didn't last time and it came out pretty good for a closet grow. looks a little droopy btw because it was just watered this morning when i spotted the problem. Still would like answers as to whether anyone knows what the problem is for sure?

your soil is too hot causing a lockout of nutrients. your last run you could have had a bag that was on the shelf for months and it mellowed during that time.

this round you might have gotten a fresh batch and it is hotter

you can clearly see two effected plants in photo number two and three.

Quit using MG. It's too hard to control and it's very inconsistent. Hard to figure out issues being there can be so many in that soil.

Dude, I made mistakes as of just 2 weeks ago and I'm going on 6 harvest since Jan 2012 after a 3 year absence from about 5 years of growing. You learn best this way. But honestly, get better soil. I've had great luck in FFOF and Roots and Sunshine. All but sunshine has enough nutes to get through half to most of veg without the need for needing nutes or having the issues of MG. The few I knew that used MG have switched, if took one guy almost a full year before he decided to get away from it and he regrets waiting so long to do so.

you are lookng at a recovery time of a month aprox , if you can get new clones do so.

If not flush the them with water at the rate of three times the volume of your pot size, ( 3 gal pot would get 9 gal of water) and hope she pulls through

next time give yourself a buffer of just plain soil and let the plant grow into the "hot" soil.

yea prob wont use miracle gro after this go around. But i just potted them so as of now the soils staying, right before flower when i change out the soil ill switch over to a different nuted soil. Slab, you think that starting a clone off a superrr small plant is a safer bet then letting them recover? I disagree.

i agree with slab the soil is to high in neuts maybe a 50/50 mix with something like coco or perlite next time , then pot up in to bigger pots with full soil maybe, peace

No dude, not off an unhealthy plant. new clones from an new source that you haven't touched with your black thumb lol

not tempurature , hot is the term used for soil that has too much nutrients available.

oh haha, na these 3 are the only 3 i got, the smallest one in the tan bucket is a fem'd blue widow seed, so ill clone from that if need be, just gonna let it ride out i suppose. I like that though black thumb, that made me chucle lol
