So i went in at 8am to check my flowering girl and the temps dropped into negatives and my heater stopped.
and at first i was like .lookin good but somthing looked wrong i picked it up and the soil was a solid piece of ice.
about 80% of her froze to death.
i managed to save 4 small branches that were newer but all the bud froze and died.
i put her back in veg box do you think she willl herm now?
I kind of want to make her a mother plant if shes ok.
def heartbreaker though i put a lot of time and care in on her so i really hope she comes out ok.

Unless their is something you know to be special about the bud you should rely just start over..will be quicker and more productive

If the soil froze and the roots... Your probably out of luck... I've heard if the branches freeze and the roots are good, you'll likely be ok, but the other way around and it's probably game over, maybe you could clone if you take cuttings quick.

She's a very special plant and i cannot get another of her.
she's from 1960s-70s and she's very potent.
i went ahead and took the dead plant material off.
i didn't wanna waste it so i smoked the bud after a quick dry.
tasted good like cured but it wasnt cured.
I don't think i can cut her down.

6. branches for sure survivved. i have 5 other starting veg today.

With what i have left I'm going to try a reveg then seed her at least one branch then reveg agian then back cross a male with. her

Um well I didn't live in the 60'-70's.... they had good weed then? My understanding is strains have evolved soo much. Imo let it go. Get some new dank that hadn't been whored out for 40+ years lol

I think if I hade few good branches i would quickly take at least one for a clone and see if I could get it rooted to save the strain. I know how it feels. I just lost my strain I have had going for last 15 years. I had to do a quick move on some moms and I ended up having a power failure so in 3 days she died and I hadnt gotten my seeds off her yet. Made me wanna cry. Was a plant I was blessed with a clone from the original mother plant that was used to make the original Bubblegum strain. I at the time was only one of 8 but was down to me and I think one other guy so i have been trying to find this friend of a friend of a friend with hope .

Do you really think weed got to be so popular throughout the ages by being shitty? Can't take two shit strains and make a killer. Have to have good genetics to start with.

YES they had GOOD weed in the 60's-70's. Ever heard of Thai Sticks, Santa Marta Gold, Puna Buda, etc., etc? If not you missed out on some very good smoke, sorry. Im not trying to be mean.

put a big water drum in your green house with a small water heater in it. this will save you in the future if your heater fails.... may keep you just above freezing
