I have attached pics of my grow box. I bult this out of MDF and 2x2's. Here is a link to the T5 light I am using. http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=51907
I have both of the these bulbs. The daylight and blooming. http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=52661
I will also be adding a 6" clip on fan that I can rotate around the box to add more airflow and get the plants moving a bit for good stem growth. I also will be adding mylar to the walls once it arrives in the mail. So I have the grow box covered after much research through the forums (thanks all). My new task is to get the rest of the process in place. Below is a list of what I plan to do and purchase.
Soil
----------------------------------------
Fox Farm Ocean Forest (w/ perlite)
Light Warrior
Ferts
----------------------------------------
Fox Farm Grow Big
Fox Farm Big Bloom
Hardware
----------------------------------------
Various Pots (obviously)
Multi Meter (ph, moisture, light)
Measuring cup/bottle
Thermometer
So from browsing for a while and researching this is what my plan is. Let me know if im on par or if I need some more direction.
1. Germinate the seeds
2. Drop in some red plastic cups w/holes in the bottom for drainage.
3. 24 hr light cycle for the first week.
4. after 1 week switch them to 18/6 cycle.
5. I am thinking the soil is enough to keep them rolling for a month but if I see a need to fert I will add a light blend during watering with the Grow Big.
6. Transplant to final 1 gallon pot.
7. Change light cycle to 12/12 once they hit 2ft or 2.5ft in height.
8. Swap in my blooming bulbs.
9. Slowly start to introduce the Big Bloom as needed by how the plant is speaking to me =)
10. Let them get nice and fat.
11. Cut them off from water / nutes in the final days before harvest.
12. Reap the rewards!
I am waiting for 2 strains in the mail. Thai Stick & Hindu Kush. I still need to do more research on how to make my plants short and bushy. But this is everything I have for now. I will add some more pics when I get them in the soil and growin. I plan to grow 2 females and one male in this box. The male only needs to be around long enough for me to pollinate a few buds on the female so I can get some seeds for the future. I know its a long post and any pointers are greatly appreciated.
How do I add thumbnails like I have seen other do?
