what harvest you got out of the 240? were you using any other lights along with it and how many plants? thanks

what harvest you got out of the 240? were you using any other lights along with it and how many plants? thanks

first grow
1 plant
blackstar 240 only entire cycle
harvest 3 oz dry

second grow
1 plant
veg - blackstar 240 only
flower - blackstar 240 + 2 X 68W 2700K CFLs
harvest 3.5 oz dry

I have to say that the second grow was nearly catastrophically destroyed by the addition of molasses at the beginning of flowering, and I lost a couple of the main stalks during recovery... probably could have harvested another oz or so without the mishap...

thanks, it gives me an idea of what to expect out of my 2 plants, I am hoping for 4+oz because they are 70+days to harvest and will probably use the fero with the blackstar 240. but it still a lot to ask out of 2 plants in such a small place...

What do u mean catastrophically fucked em up with mollases lol I use it all the time in my waterfarm no issues. You can pretty easily expect about four off two plats endurox. If not more if properly trained. I've done four off of my ebb and flow way over crowded. Just place ur plants right rotate em and train

Please explain how much molasses you use, when and how it is administered to your plants, and the science behind why you do this?

As for me, I believe that I made a rookie mistake. I did some initial research, and decided that the weekly addition of 1 Tbs/2gal (Waterfarm reservoir is ~2gal) would be beneficial to my plants. I didn't do enough research! Within a couple days after adding the molasses, the plant looked HORRIBLE.... droopy, dying. The Waterfarm reservoir had become a murky, cloudy biological (bacterial I assume) soup with a destructively high pH. I had to flush extensively in order to revive the plant, and lost some of the main stalks (in retrospect, I should not have cut these... they probably would have recovered like the others and produced... but *sigh* oh well) I did a quick search, and found grow journals of other folks who experienced the same problems with molasses in hydro, and one user posted on my thread that he had experienced the same thing oo7even

Further research, my own experiences, and the experiences of others have helped me to better understand the science behind the use of molasses in plant cultivation. I understand the biological mechanisms and pathways more clearly, and realized that I had jumped the gun. I might use molasses if I grew in soil, but I do not. I don't currently use foliar feeding brews, but if I do in the future, molasses might make a useful ingredient...

a great read
