Working In A GrowOp

I just wanted to share my experiences in growing. I've only ever tried growing once, back in college during the late 90's. It was in its 6th slow week when I had to hand it off to a friend because I was moving back to my home state. Tears were shed.
I had always wanted to try and grow again, but life happened and there was never a "safe" opportunity to do so.
Recently my family and I moved to Colorado from Arizona. I cannot even begin to express how amazing it is living in a state that has legalized Cannabis.

The best part about moving here hasn't been the legal recreational pot though. No. It has been the accidental procurement of a job in a growop for a local dispensary. Honestly it was an accidental job. I thought I was being hired for general landscaping and gardening duties that had nothing to do with Cannabis.
It wasn't until I went in for my interview that I put two and two together.
It has been almost two months, and my employers have seemingly been so happy with my work, that ive been moved from trimming to the nursery, where I am now actually learning everything in their process for growing.

I am taking all of it to heart, as I intend to begin growing myself, once we purchase a house within the next year or so. We cant grow in our current rental as it is too small with too many children and rental agreements stating there wouldn't be any.

All said and done, I have gone from modest cannabis use, to being involved in its growth on a massive scale and being able to obtain it whenever I want. I even got my med card and signed my plants over to the dispensary for perks, and help them increase their plant count.

Its incredibly hard work, and I love every minute of it. And I just wanted to say all this, figured this would be a good place to to do it. :)

It was a bit of a surprise. Ive been told it was a really quick transition for someone with my lack of a background. There are other people there still trimming much longer than I had been, who do know how to actually grow.
I felt worried there would be some resentment, but everyone is still pretty cool. Still, very exciting.

Welcome to RIU! It will be good to hear of your progress and what you'vw learned. A lot of us have a constant desire to learn and apply knew cannabis knowledge.
When my stuff finishes up it always comes out great, however I'm always interested in taking my plants to the next level. The way I critique the way it turns out - I'm never satisfied until it reaches the quality of some White Widow, Sweetooth, and God's Love that I have grown.

Ive been caring for White Widow in our warehouse growup. It seems to be a more fickle strain compared to some of the others.
