The whole doomsday/date scenario being hawked by the preppers and evangilists is complete hogwash. The Mayans themselves even have artifacts with much later dates referenced on them than Dec 2012. Why would a culture inscribe dates of the future later than the date that the world is supposedly going to end? Simple -that's NOT when it's going to end. And Zombies would be a welcome thing as many of us have more guns and ammo than a small country and Zombies would be the new national shooting match event!

Plus all the slow, stupid, fat people would be the first to go! (Zombie survival rule #1 Cardio) Another problem solved. Don't you just love the forward march of progress? :)

:( I am not dumb. I am just not very educated when it comes to planting. I fail miserably.

On you-tube there are videos posting from the 2nd week of january with an "errie" sound. Some think it's the apocolypes because the sound was like a trumpeting noise? I don't know the noise freaked me out when I watched the video. So from that people are wanting to confirm that the world is coming to an end. But I didn't hear the noise that "everyone around the world" heard. In the videos it was pretty wicked, and there is no way I wouldn't of been able to hear it.

Now I am reading that people think "zombies" are going to be the reason the world will end beacuse the "sound" was rising them from the dead?

On a total different note, some people think planet-x(Nibiru) is going to be crashing to the Earths surface. (Which a scientist from nasa stated it isn't even in orbit with Earth.) While there are others who think the black hole that is located 30,000 light years away is what is going to end our planet at the end of 2012.

I don't believe it is going to end. The mayan calender may be advanced for their time, but I don't think it was possible for them to have the time to make a calender for every exisiting year to come. Their time died off, so obviously their calender had to end too.

never heard of the Noise around the world in mid Jan. But im inside on the puter so....its cold here ya know.

You raise a few points, but many are a bit off the edge a bit.

as noted on the 1st pg of replys, the Mayans had a calender, like all calenders, it restarts the cycle. Dec 21, 2012, is the last day of the 26 million year solar cycle the Mayans called a Bachtune (sp and i think the backtune is the full cycle). Before you deny the possibility of the Mayans abilities, take this into consideration: The Mayan Calender has accurately timed the arrival of pretty much any solar cycle, from Venus, Saturn, and Neptune, down to our moon, and the earths relationship with the Sun, which was at the center of the known universe to the Mayans. They Knew we *(the earth and planets) revolved around the Sun in a circular orbit, Long before Galilao (sp) came to the conclusion that was the case. Also, their is no evidence of any mass deaths, wars, plagues, migrations, that made the Mayans disappear. for all apparent purposes, an entire thriving society vanished. their has been very few graves or mass cemeteries located, only those that were sacrificed.


Nibu, alot of good stuff here. Another more recent theory is Nibiru is possibly a brown dwarf star, and our Sun is it's Binary Star. It has been recently found that Most all major stars like our Sun, are part of a Binary Pair of Stars. So we have to plausible scenarios that could come into play. The Astronomer (also NASA) with this theory has plotted the presumed approach, and from that was able to extrapolate the orbit of Nibiru, would appear to be near a 26 million year orbit... Things that make you go Hmm.
Scenario 1, Nibiru is the Suns Binary Star, and it's a coming up to its sweep past the sun (other side of the sun, as its theorized it would not break into our orbital 1/2 of the universe) but the gravity of Nibiru is So strong being a Brown Dwarf, that is effects the Suns operation so to speak, and creates alot of activity. Infact, we are in the long known 7 yr cycle of the Solar Maximum. Every 7 yrs, the Sun increases in activity, thus more Sun Spots, More Solar Flares, more heat ect.... One subjection mentioned on this, is with Nibiru approaching, the magnetic forces and resulting gravitational pull of it on the Sun, will greatly increase the amount of activity on the Sun. And to add a bit of oh shit into the mix, the Sun is infact, already showing signs of more increased activity in this Solar Maximum Cycle, than in any other recorded...

So add the Mayans Bactune into the mix, and it will make you use your noodle. or atleast should.


the Apocalypse, is also misunderstood. It is Thought to be the time of damnation, judgement, forgiveness and salvation for a few righteous souls. But the Word with proper translation only means a great time of change. no reflection of what kind of change, what type of change, what to expect ect..


all that is purported to be the way it will be according to Christians, but no one can say for sure, thats the canundrum.

All of this "2012 Doomsday" prophesies are from the fact that the Mayan calendar runs out in 2012. It merely stops, ends, no prophecy of doom. The Mayans believed that Civilizations have been destroyed 3 or 4 times before this cycle, but there are no dire predictions. The media has gotten a lot of mileage out of this, and the fact that JQ Public is a very gullible species, and glorifies in the lurid.

I think the best action that can be taken is to sell most personal assets, take out as many loans while maxing your credit to buy supplies & MREs..Quit your job to give you time for digging a bunker out back.. Hunker down in your home, & wait.
