World Of Hempy

At my age I can't stand getting down on my knees and feeding buckets individually. I added gravity feed bucket to my 2gal coco hempy's.....I won't screw with anything else given the hempy bucket is perfection..It only takes 1 gal each for each 2gal hempy with 2" res. ..Sorry about the cola pic, couldn't help myself, CH9 Cluster at 4weeks 12/12, It's a needle dick, waiting to become a donkey dick in the next 4.

Really like your watering system. My problem is I haven't grown all the same strain for ever, and they all have different intervals. I'd need a valve manifold lol.

So tell us how you empty your catch trays. I've seen shop vac's used, what's your method?

Those are 2g black hempy buckets..the feed bucket is 2g as well....note the hempy onthe left has a valve after the "tee" so I can regulate a slower drinking strain (Trinity Kush). I watch the humidity in the tent during heavy flower. At this time of year when temps are up, I let the run-off water evaporate from the dishes with humidity running ~45%. Sometimes I swap them out for cleaned pans if the humidity starts creeps up past 60%.

They look really great, Relic. ... Did you expect them to get so big? I see Sativa pheno's in the leaves.

What you giving them light wise? I see a side lighting there.

What brand of nutes have you gone with?
No I really didn't mean for it to get that big, but the temps at the time I was vegging with a 125w cfl were so high I had to wait to flip so it got bigger then I would have liked. She's def a sativa pheno.

I have one 150w hps on the top and one 150w on the side I rotate it everyday so each side get an equal amount of light. I do have a lot of really small popcorn buds on the bottom that most likely won't be that great so I'm going to use those for butter and hash.

I'm using Dyna-Gro nute. I use Foilage-pro, protek, and bloom. I also add a little mag/cal in every few feedings, and I've added molasses off and on also.

I just can't stop the fade on my outdoor girl. I've slowed it down a bit, but she's still eatin' herself up early. Maybe it has to do with the large temp swings outdoors, this plant has been grown for generations indoors with < 20 F swing. Now she cycles from 92 to 54, this could be part of it, just don't know. She is hungry and growin'. Been feeding 1 1/4 gal/day - 1200 ppm. The cola heads have the proper healthy green color, but below,,,,, several dif layers of lime, to yellow.
Edit: I should mention this is day 15 actual flower.

I've had height issues indoors also, these hawaiian strains are crazy growers.
Per georgyboys advice I checked into supercropping, well if you are curious heres where I'm heading

That yellowing is an Odd one Watts... I had to supercrop one of my hydro runs, they just completely outgrew the text (what a mess).. Its pretty basic stuff, simply pinch the branch you want to fold over, then when soft from the pinching, FOLD IT OVER.. a couple hours later, you will see the top turn back up to the light. I also had some branches almost re-straighten themselves after a couple of weeks.. Those Hawaiian look very Sativa Dominant,, Though you should be over the stretch real soon.

If I can chime in here, I do a lot of my growing outdoors and my temps are similar. Most of my plants are still all green but some do have yellowing leaves, so maybe it's strain or pheno related. I don't think it's the temp extremes.

Nice looking plants by the way, especially the first one.

Thanks Rusty & mae, your input reduces my doubts. And there is a third factor. this mom was cut 1/3/12 so in pot yrs she is really old.
Today the cola area showed a much darker green, so I think the N need has been forfilled. This is good sign, so I'll back off and try to coast her in, and not worry about the under carriage.

I'm kinda excited about this girl, I haven't had an outdoor finish since 89.

@Wattsaver I know yellowing isn't anything you want to see that early in flower but I just want to say that your plant is very healthy looking all the same. It almost looks organic. The yellowing is vibrant and pretty, despite it being a sign of some kind of problem somewhere. My first attempt at an organic plant yellowed just like that really early in flower. I fed it high N guano, fish ferts, and blood meal, but I could not straighten it out. By 5 weeks the plant hardly had any leaves left, and when I finally cut it down around 9 weeks, the buds looked like they had already been trimmed. The point is I remember thinking then how pretty the leaves looked as they yellowed. They never looked burnt, and they never wrinkled up or anything, they just slowly faded from a vigorous green to lime to a sad yet vibrant yellow. As much as I hated to watch the plant shed it's leaves like that, it was somehow pretty and peaceful. Like trees in the fall. Your plant's leaves look like that.

Hey Moebius, hows that mapito working out for you so far?
Thanks Icon, I knew I was supposed to be doing something ...... Growing Ganja, Yeah thats it!

I bought the Mapito. ... Its not poly'urethane flakes has had been described elsewhere. Mine is a mix of Rockwool and coco chips/fibre.
I plan to germ the 40 seeds, transfer to the 1" rockwool cubes, fill 2L bottles with Mapito, put rooted plants at top of bottle, veg for 3 days, Flower.

Sorry guys for not posting anything interesting recently. Much respect and gratitude for my brothers in arms keeping the thread alive. :peace:

I said the same thing when I got mine, hey this is not PU flakes, it's coco chips!! but it still works great, I'm on my 3rd mom in 12 months in the same mapito hempy bucket and she is healthy as fook.

Sounds good your plans, I'll stop by in few weeks to check the progress.

@ICON

Do you think it wll it be OK to fill the bottles dry, then give them the 24hr pre-soak? My instincts tell me 'Yes'..... or would you advise soaking before filling.

As long as they are soaked before you put a plant in it then I don't think it matters, you will see the difference between a short soak and a 12-24 hour soak.

Progression over a week. Most the plants have been topped once at this point. Front row is Nirvana PPP (3), next row is Nirvana Papaya (4), then the fruity mids I call Angela (5) and two totally random bag seed plants. The oldest plants are 19 days, and none are younger than 15 days.
