ello ello whats all this hempyness going on ere then?? I need help! can anyone help? coco hempy clones - can i put in ''plant magic plus -veg boost'' or not so much of a good idea?
swim likes to give coco clones a little hesi roots which is similar, swim thinks its more important to keep the medium warm and not too wet for good results and to avoid yellowing leaves, swim also used a lot of clones direct to 2l hempy with nothing but PHed water and had good success as the sheer amount of coco insulates the cutting, and the consequent height of the 2l bottle takes the cutting off the ground a little but swims opinion is using root stimulants in small doses can only help matters

Where did you get the trays that hold your 2l I would love to get my hands on some!
I cant count how many convenience stores i have seen that store their 2 liter shipping crates out side of their building while waiting for a reup from the main ware house, im not advocating that you steal them, but if you were to go out and take a look around your local convenience store you might find some freely available 2 liter crates...

Looks like a jungle in there Shiva. I tend to take clones and have them ready with just a couple days, to do a thorough cleaning. This may be my last 2L run though. I'm not liking the high numbers and think I may switch to a 4 plant scrog instead. Thanks for the compliment
So happy to hear that you might try out a scrog man, i would love to see what you can pull off with one...

I know many may say I'm just being an impatient rookie, but I am concerned with these auto-flowers.

The buds look nice & big in the pics but they are so fluffy, they are full of leaves and are not behaving the way my 2 previous female plants did.

take a look at the close up of the cola....it just looks immature to me...the buds are just not filling in the way I would like to see

They were pre-flowering by mid April....full flowers by end of April....they say these should finish in 5 to 6 weeks....so they have been in full flower mode for 5 weeks and there is no way they are only a week away...they look a least 3 weeks away IMHO...which is okay but I still fear the buds won't firm up

@ ISK I don't see a lot of white hairs, and it looks like the hair are changing color, so it could be just a wk to go. As far as airy buds, this is mostly due to stain. Sativa dom strains are generally more airy than indica's. I'd harvest by the looks of the bud (hair color, hairs receding, and trich color) instead of the density. Many strains just don't make rock hard buds.

I may have a side project coming up soon I wanted to get y'all's opinion. I already have 1x400 sitting in the closet but for a coverage of 2'x4' space should I go with 2x400's or 1x600? Either of the two options will be air cooled lights in a 3x5 tent. Cooling won't be a problem. Going to fit probably around 40 to 60 2l's. Just trying to get y'all's input. I actually was leaning towards the 2x400s since I already have 1x400 laying around. Thanks y'all

When the hell is summer coming to the PNW!
July 5th, as usual...

We only have two seasons in the Puget Sound area...The Wet Season, mid-September to July 4th, and The Not-Quite-So-Wet Season, July 5th to mid-September. It can vary a bit on the end of TNQSW season, I've seen it be nice until the first or even the second week of October.

It almost always rains on Blow Up Your Neighbors Night.

This is why mycologists are so at home there!

Start hunting for mushrooms, and you will start to see
the rain in a whole new light.

All apologies for those dealing with snow in May!
(I am in So Cali and might be weather insensitive without knowing. :0)

round my way a 600 would cost around the same as a 400,i would go for a single 600 on its own in that space, with a 25% reduction in electric and less hassle with air cooling 2 lights, same amount of hempys either way!
my pal swim would run 7 hempys one way multiplied by 12 hempys the other which gives you the option to discard a few of the wimps, or reduce to whatever number if they become over crowded, swim has found that they will all find their own way if you leave them without doing any more than small adjustments to the hempys, swim finds it helpfull to cut a few lower branches off after a week of flower  to get a nice air flow and even canopy, swim also likes to set 10% extra plants away than needed to cull the worst 10% when they get trimmed ,he waits sometimes longer than a week to do this so he can see which brances to clip and which girls to remove also he's a lazy fucker! he aint noticed much shock time if any with these little hempys , but he does note that when he cant be arsed pruning them at the right time and he lets them go un-cut they get constricted and the lower buds suffer anyway and of course the main colas aren't as big.

Ya know I learn something everyday...
BTW has anyone seen jela?
Just back from a biz trip to South Korea....awesome stay....people are really nice/sincere. I felt safer there in Seoul than any big city in the USA. Seoul is freaking huge too. My ass hurts from the air miles though.....can't wait to try my Sharksbreath since it's cured up nicely now based on the smell and bud "firmness".

Good to hear that an auto will work in a hempy, I couldn't see why they wouldn't. I'm going to grow them outdoors, hope to get a finish in Aug instead of late Oct.
Auto's do work in hempy, and very well, I simply transplanted into buckets when solo cups went root bound...no prob.
Easy Ryder from "Joint Doctor Seeds", this grew under LED's so I removed from the tent for pics. If I did this indoors you will be honking some honey outdoors.

jela if my auto do that I'll be one happy SOB.

I went to Korea in 80 as a sailor. I had a different agenda than you at the time. Ran into a cocktail called SlowJo,,,, basically grain alcohol cut with 7up and a couple dabs of white heroin ....... puked in technicolor later in the night.... but overall a good night in Soul

Good looking out inverg but a 2l hempy of 7x12 I would definetly go outside of a 600 watt 4x4 footprint. With that amount of 2l's what does swim avg's in yield?

Get a dimmable 600 and go 50% power should be all good.

Thank I will stop a local driver and chat him/her up about them THANKS!!!
As was stated, you could also grab some at a corner store. How you acquire them is up to you. Each crate runs about 20$ unless you're buying a stack :)

i might as well buy a 250 watt light. Why go that route green warrior?
That route is a good idea if you ever upgrade to a bigger area. Why buy a bunch of different ballasts when you ca just buy higher watts than you need and dial it down. Never know, You may go bigger someday :)

I have heard from several different people that dimming the power can lower the life span of some bulbs......not sure how factual this is

If I run my dimmable ballast at 150w again it will be with a 150w bulb. Dimming the 250w MH bulb caused it to put out some really weird green light, didn't like it.

Full power and underpowered.

Chopped 2 of the girls last night, the Bluecheese and the Blackjack.

Bluecheese

Blackjack

Got the Blueberry to cut down yet tonight. All in all not too bad for a 250w I think. Looking forward to sampling!
