If you say they have lots of amber trichs, I would chop. Again that depends on the high your looking for. Few amber light headed high, lots of amber couch lock, but again that also depends on the strain.
With a indica I will go longer, and with a sativa I go without or with very few amber trichs.

I want 60%-80% amber. I fed em a rez today and they should be done by the time it's bone dry. It's a hybrid (says 55% sativa and 45% indica which makes no sense to me... how do you account for 5% of a parent?) - 9 week strain... this is week 7ish (started flowering on 6th of May). This is my first outdoor venture and I noticed something : indoors they seem to spew out a lot more pistils but outdoors they finish a lot faster. I'm testing this right now: hempy buckets, 8 week strain, 7-8 hours of direct sunlight and light deprivation vs indoor ~85 watts of LED 4000K 80CRI. so far the indoors one is ahead
EDIT: I should have probably mentioned. Heat indoors is a steady 25 degrees C with around 50% RH and outdoors goes from 25 degrees C in the morning up to 28 (TOPS) with a sea breeze. I figure environmental factors are the reason why they mature a lot faster with less of a yield. EDIT AGAIN: I've looking at forecasts and it has been 28 degrees only about once a week. The rest it averaged between 23 and 25

Hey Hempy fans, I've been out of the loop for a while, haven't had any traumas, other than oppressive heat for all of June, 96 degree days outside were leading to 96 degree nights in the grow room. I had to turn off the 1000w and went back to the 400's, and I dropped lights on time to 10hrs since wk 4. This got me to a 90 max temp.
Here's a shot on day 44 the Bubblegummer is front right, and the fast 9 lb pheno is on the left, you'll notice that all the hairs have receded and it's looking ready. I took it down on day 47

Ok here is a pic of Black Widow #5 clone #2. This was the only one of the three clones that I kept and continues to grow.
The other two found the compost bin.
A little history,
This clone was was of three BW5's sent into 12/12 on March 16th, along with 4 BW1 clones. They were in a closet since I had the mothers of them in the cabinet. They were under a 400W LED and were stretching like crazy, even into the 6th week the were still vegging with little flowering. At week 8 I saw some flowering but the closet was just crammed with the three plants and they were 5+ feet tall. I took two of them to the compost pile but my G/F said she wanted me to keep the third one and put it in the cabinet when the other four were finished. I did find out I had a light leak during this so I said we can grow it out.
The mothers finished on 4/20/15 and I put the 4 BW1 clones in the cabinet since I knew I did not have room for 7 plants. The BW5 clones remained under the LED. That was at week 5 of flower for both the BW1'd snf BW5's. The BW1 was looking like its mother did at 5 weeks but BW5 looked like it was still in veg. I harvest the BW1 clones at weeks 11, 12, 13, 14. So now BW5 has the full cabinet to itself, I had to LST to get it out of the 400W HPS. BW5 has been in the cabinet for 3 weeks but been under 12/12 for over 16 weeks She is flowering now but not as much as it should be for this amount of time.
Let's see how she turns out.

For 16wks there are still a lot of new white hairs all over the place, did the trichs ever cloud up or amber? By the way thats quite the monster to try and maintain. Kudo's to you.

damn Watts that's hot, and I was complaining when my living room hit 81F..... good idea to lower the wattage, as a lower yield is better than no yield
I've had lots of sunshine so my gals are doing well, but we have nearby forest fires which are creating enough smoke to make it like a cloudy day, just with the added bonus of stinking and eye burning

There are only still clear trichs, and not that many showing yet except for the pistils. I believe it is beginning to thicken up or maybe I have just been looking at it to long. LOL

Final catch up post. Today is day 59 of the grow. I finished trimming the C-99 which I don't believe it is a cindy. Much more internal leaf and this sugar leaf is much thicker and heavier than any cindy I'm grown before. I got 3 of these fem seeds, the other 2 were the cindy ball buds I've seen before in the regular world. This thing is much denser, and the buds were more on the cola formed shape, plus it has a better yield than the previous C-99 seeds. I'm guessing some sort of kush cross? The scent is spicy with a hint of citrus.
Had to shove in a couple of steel rods and use a few wires to transport out of the room.
Shoots with fan leaf, then fan leaf removed, final is hanging and a screen of future hash bud, even these were larger than average.

Hey all I'm about to make a thread on this in Hydro but figured I'd get some input directly from you guys.
I'm leaving on vacation next month for about 7 days and am wondering how any of you have handled this.
I'd prefer not spending a lot adding pumps for auto watering as I'm already sketched leaving lights and fans on unattended with animals locked in the next room (talking fire here)
Do you guys think those water globes would work or do they only work in soil? I've also thought of adding an extra hole or two the same height as the main drain hole and putting my plants in tubs of nutrient solution so they can just take it up from the bottom.
Any other suggestions appreciated! I've never had to leave my Hempys alone before and they will be a week or so from harvest when I return so it's crucial they get water. I have them in 22 oz cups as it's SOG just FYI.

You could try a strategically placed bottle of some sort with "pinhole"(s) in the cap and flip upside down?? Try a test run in medium only to see how long it takes to empty, and how wet. Run one with 1 hole, one with 2 holes, etc. I'm just guessing. Was all I could come up with. How large a bottle, you would know best based on consumption per day, close to the time you leave. Sure seems like it could work at the moment

The shark is way behind the widow. Probably the first and last time I run Greenhouse seeds of any kind unless it's SLH. I've pretty much come to the conclusion they are frauds and Arjan is an asshat.
The Nirvana Widow is a cut I've had awhile and it's resin production and high is out of this world. First and best cut I've ever had, hope to have her forever.
All gals are around Day 40 or so of flower.
