Hey all here's the finish on the last run. Yes it's way late.

7/10 at day 60 I took down the sticky 9lb hammer. This is one of the strangest plants I've grown. It can't hold itself up, the stems are very frail and took many hold wires to keep it supported. These buds weren't large medium at best for the tops, the final yield couldn't be more then 1 1/2 oz. But but but but it is the frostiest, stickiest little nugs I've ever seen. It's mom has cured for a couple months now and the smoke is very dank.

7/15 harvested the Bubblegummer. This is the one that was shimmed up to keep the top near the others. It did very well for a runt.

Also on 7/15 I transplanted the Amnesia and Afghan Kush into buckets the next run. Remember I took the runt afghan outdoors a few wks before.

I vegged the transplants outside for almost a wk. They didn't have the stem strength to handle the conditions also direct sun compared to the T-8 seemed to hammer them a bit.
7/20 put on some support cages and they have rebounded, my buddy passed through the shot he had enough playing with the plants and wanted to go for another walk. After the photo they went indoors. last is the outdoor girl.

It's been a couple of wks time for another update. First the deck bound Afghan Kush, I've moved it to under the eve and it reduced the direct sunlight by 6 hrs. I'm hoping to start flowering without having to make a dark rm. Since the move the nodes have really tighten up and it's throwing more hairs but still no budlets.

After those shots I trimmed up the bottom and took a photo of the stock

Indoors at 2wks all are stretching fast 3 of the 4 have loads of budlets. But the large Amnesia (back left) has not thrown out a budlet yet. Like the outdoor Afghan its stacking but not flowering. I know it's not a light cycle issue, I started flower with a 10/14 light schedule.

@WattSaver your indoor grow rooms always look so slick and clean
Thank you ISK, I've found that if you keep the little space clean there will be far less problems. Tops on the maintenance list now is replace the weather strip on the veg box door and the room door. I should have mentioned that a couple of hrs after the photos above were taken, a storm came through with hi winds and it blew over the outdoor girl. It knocked out the top inch of coco, I should have taken a photo of all the roots growing towards the top of the bucket. The root ball in the bucket has to be massive. What can you say about a hempy that hasn't already been said. The most work per gallon of medium compared to any other static growing method.

agree with your comment "most work per gallon"...... but the funny things is that hempy is the least amount of work per gallon for the grower, at least I think so.

BTW: the other thing I love about your grow room neatness is: "all your electrical cords are off the floor and half way up the wall"

I preach this safety tip all the time, then violate it myself, but I'm a certified electrician so we know when we can break rules

Hey Hempy Fans, it's mid Aug and the outdoor girl hasn't committed to flower phase. I really don't want to deal with the last half of Oct. So on Saturday I got an ill sized tarp because that's the best I could find, and made a semi dark area. Well in just 2 cycles I believe I have commitment. I did some serious trimming of the wall side and under growth of the girl today before the photos.

hey watts.....so does that tarp provides enough darkness to trigger it into flower mode?

it appears to have some minor light leaks...is this not an issue?

how many days will you use the tarp?

There are more than a few minor light leaks, but it seems to have given enough shelter from the sun to trigger flowering. Now if I can remember to cover and uncover at the right time every day.

Here's the indoor girls at day 37. The weather here is changing every few days, so I'm changing lights every few days. The wk they spent in the direct sunlight at transplant really conditioned them for the 1k even at close range.
looking nice watts....they should start to fatten up nicely in the next few weeks

Here's the outdoor Afghan Kush photos taken late evening the flash kicked in a couple of time. Still covering every night but will end tonight. Right now I'm at 13/11 sunrise to sunset, but an hr in the morning and 2 in the evening are very dim. She's been getting regular gentle rains and seems to enjoy. This can be a problem with the hempy bucket, because the rain will increase the ph in the bucket. I've been adding at least 1/2 gal if not a gal of ph'ed feed every morning even if she's still really moist. Last wk when it was dry and hot I was watering 1 1/2 gal every morning. So I have to keep the food up, and the mixed coco seems to work well in this rain and feed anyway environment. I'm guessing 4 to 5 wks to go, so I'm hoping for a mild Sept, but that will delay the ripening of my apples, and I have a hard cider project in mind. Still rooting for the Indian summer.

Will be starting another run in the cabinet in a few weeks. :weed: About 7 sqft X 6' tall!
Be using one of my two White Rhino fem's and I would like to put in one or two more. In stock I have some freebies I got from my last order from Seedsman.
One fem of each, Exodus Cheese, Dr. Seedsman, and Citrus Super Haze. I also have 5 regs of NLHaze/Skunk #1 from Mr. Nice Seeds which will be another run, maybe spring.
Going to Mainline/Hub all plants to 8, and am wanting to get all the general same height. Have been doing some research but they only say, short, medium or tall height, hell, medium could be anywhere from 30 to 45 inches.

Any Suggestions!!!

Will be growing in Hempy buckets using Botanicare CocoGro coco fiber and Growstone @ a 70/30 to 75/25 ratio. Going to start the seeds directly in 3 to 4 gallon square plastic tubs.
If my business slows, which I expect due to winter, I would like to journal this grow. We will see!

Look forward to another grow, helps me calm my nerves.

I've got a bag of the Gro dans Grow Cubes it's rockwool and I'll try it out after my Dec vacation. I hope you do a journal I'm interested in how the spun glass works.

As far as seed choice, from what I've read and what little I've tried, indica strains do better in mainlining. I looked at the White Rhino it says it's mostly indica but mom was a WW. The spears in the photos of at seedsman look nice. Maybe it would be best to do both the rhino's????

Hey Watt, thanks for stopping by!

Not sure what you mean by spun glass, I am using coco fiber.
I was at my friends Hydro shop yesterday and he had a bag of rockwool cubes, they were about .25 inches cube, he said they were for use in something like Hempy buckets. Told him I may try at some point, very happy with coco now.

Doing both White Rhinos was my first thought but it would be my luck that the pheno's would both be sativa dom and I don't need any more sativa now. Got plenty and want some sleepy time meds and from what I have read it is almost narcotic. I do think that two plants in the cabinet would work great so maybe will rethink my plan.

Thanks Bud,

GR
