I have some of the Peyote Critical too....The one I chose from 5 seeds to continue, has been cloned for a cpl yrs now....it gets purple calyx's which gives it moderate purple hue overall, regardless of temps....Many purple strains need cooler temps to bring it out....I have 5 strains running in 3.5 hempy buckets...Peyote Critical, Holy Grail, Bubble Bomb, Cinderella 99, and a Sour Lime....The Peyote Critical is everyones fav in my circle of friends....All 5 are VERY SPECIAL...I run a modified Hempy bucket where I have a pea pebble basin 2 inches deep with an air stone running in each bucket...I tried a few ways with Hempy and it gives me the best results...Drain to waste is already the easiest, most cost effective method out there...Thats all Hempy is but with the luxury of less watering since it has that 2 inches of water in reserve....Here is a cpl pics of mine 7 days into flower.....Also, a cpl peyote critical plants hang drying from last crop.....you can see the purple hue....garden is 5ft by 4ft with a 1000w HID on a light mover....light mover has ALWAYS been my favorite pc of equipment..btwn that and some defoliation, I get VERY uniform bud formation and max yields....Just added a 4th pic from a recent crop in full bloom....15375588684322981970464058876864~2.jpgYT20191109_203400.jpg20191109_203421.jpg20190903_173910(1)~2.jpg

Nice!looks like a good yield as well....

Its my 2nd best yielded...6 plants in 20sqft of space....you can see from reference items in the room about how big they are....The need to get about 2 foot tall and 2 foot wide for 6 plants to fill the space.....The Peyote Critical gives me just about 5 jars (oz) per plant...My BubbleBomb gives me about 6 per plant at the same size....I regularly pull btwn 30 and 35 jars a garden, depending on which combinations of strains I use each time...Been doing it SO LONG now, that upping yields are the only way to challange myself.....I COULD WAY UP my yields growing something like BIG BUD or a strain with that in it, but QUALITY is always the highest priority....Big Bud is fair, but NOTHING like many strains on the market now.....If I'm not growing plants in the mid 20ies (THC %), its not what I want.....I also have Monkey Business plant which I know HAS TO BE pushing the 30% mark....Thats a Gorilla Glue #4 crossed with Holy Grail....That Peyote Critical is such a pleasure to grow....Prunes nice, stiff branching, great jar appeal, potent, with a quality high and requires NOTHING special...Never a blemish on them, nutrient tolerant, low light tolerant, clones easy...Really a growers dream plant....She has a permanent home with me....YT

Peyote critical is that from seedsman?
I saw them advertising a peyote something...I ended up getting the blue dreamo'matic ,its a blue dream auto/feminized(420 fast seeds, from seedsman )
I got that strain because it's supposed to be pretty tolerant of newbie mistakes, its my first grow, going to be
Well best wishes in your future grows...

Sorry for late response, but Peyote Critical is a Barney's Farm creations...Peyote Purple x Critical Kush...I found another pic of a bud from my 1st grow of Peyote Critical....Really is a pretty strain....Think I mentioned in a previous post, that mine have all the calyx's turn purple...I HAD another pheno that had even MORE areas of purple, but overall, it yielded less, and wasn't quite as strong....20190218_210641(1)~2(1)~5.jpg

I've got 4 - 100% perlite hempy buckets started about a week ago.
I filled the bottom 2" with hydroton for better drainage and the rest with course perlite. All of it was rinsed thoroughly.....the run off is perfectly clean.
I feed several times a day at 5.5 and the run off comes out around 7.0. I always drain the 2" reservoir before I feed so everything is fresh. Once the roots hit the reservoir I'll stop the daily feeding.

Any suggestions to correct the problem or the reason for the problem is appreciated. I remember when I ran DWC years ago, it took a while for the pH to straighten out due to the hydroton. Could this be the problem?

Thanks for the help. (:

Here's my opinion about it....Once INERT mediums, grow rocks, wool, etc, have been rinsed and are currently in use, IT SHOULD NOT, really be contributing to that problem...If I had to guess, your starting water is of a more alkali nature....Mixes typically like to buffer a little BACK TOWARD the waters starting pH...ALSO, plants in a rapid growth stage will make pH change...In that case, it's a sign of rapid growth activity...ALSO, how grower feeds can SIGNIFICANTLY make the pH change UP OR DOWN.....I am a light feeder compared to many, and my pH ALWAYS raises over time...Over time can mean in mear hours...Heavy feeding on the other hand will make the pH #'s go down..That is especially true during early flower when a high Phosphorus ACID is in the mix....That higher acid, of course will buffer the #'s down...When mixing flowering nutes, most growers notice that your pH WILL BE lower than mixing with their veg nutes....Its due to the Phosphorus acid.....
NOW, a pH drift to some degree, SHOULD BE WELCOMED...different nutes absorb at different pH values...chasing that PERFECT pH will drive you crazy...
I wouldnt be that concerned about how yours is behaving...YOU DO though, need to understand how it behaves and use that to your advantage......EARLY veg, my Hempy's CAN GET #'s higher than I am comfortable with...I have a small hole drilled in the bottom sides of my bucket (not the 2 inch high drain holes)...I have a rubber stopper in those....A cpl weeks after translating I will SAMPLE a little water that is sitting in the buckets internal reservoirs....Many times, It has creeped up to high 6's and even 7 s yours do....SO, I will flush heavy with a pH correct solution weak in nutes....After that, I turn right around and water with pH AND ppm correct solutions...Just resetting everything....SOMETIMES this isnt necessary, but sometimes it is....I DO understand that mine can do that, so I am prepared to make adjustments....
I ALWAYS feed every watering, but with moderate nute levels...plants enjoy that stability over those who feed, feed, flush type watering programs....This also keeps things less apt to build up or get deficient....Only make nute increases when they want it, not because any charts say they SHOULD need it by then...Not saying your over feeding, but keep things modedate and constant...UNDERSTANDING how your pH behaves will become very clear after a crop (2 at the most), IN THAT PARTICULAR SYSTEM...every system behave differently...Learns your well and dont chase smaller drifts...Maybe water with your pH slightly lower, let it drift up past IDEAL, and rewater when it starts getting too high...I.HAVE ALSO NOTICED all my pH drift (going higher), SLOWS WAY DOWN, once they are a 2-3 weeks into flower...That insane growth of stretch and transition into flower is over and MY pH stablizes much easier......
Hope this doesnt confuse you more than it helped, but you are not alone...pH drift is part of the game....A few variables are involved, but UNDERSTANDING HOW THE PH IN YOUR SYSTEM behaves is the key...Once you know that, you can deal with it, and they will be fine....Welcome a a small controlled drift though instead of chasing it...YT
