How'd you grow them, were they clone or 12/12 from seed or?
Sorry, just chiming in.
The WOH thread has details, and links on my grow, but they are 12/12 rooted clones.
Imho 12/12 from seed is a waste due to maturity factors,or no true measure from a plants potential from what you get at least with 1 or 2 clone runs.

I've done several 12/12 from seed and never had a real big issue with yield. But if you're talking in micro grow terms i can see that.

Guys I need help! Everything was fine and dandy. Then I couldn't water the plants for one day well not even a day. Like half the day. And when I got home my room was unbelievable hot. I noticed my healthiest plant showed signs of heat stress. Curled up leaf tips. Some leaves we're curled up and twisted looked burnt. Lots of browning and yellowing. This is in a matters of a few hrs. Cause before I left the house this plant was a beast and healthy as hell. Now I flushed it. Rewatered it even check the roots. I watered and left overnight woke up a few hrs later and it was still droopy and worse than before. I had already raised the lights and lowered the temps. A few of the thick leaf plants start to droop as well so can anyone help?
Let me ask, did your HID lights come in and maybe it was their first day under them? Maybe you just transplanted to the 7g bins as mentioned above? Is the Great White root accelerator and molasses new to the hempy bucket res? Trying to understand what's new...plants @32 days are usually trucking. If it was their first day under HID's there is some tuning to do with hangar height and ventilation.

Here we are with the girls. Afghan Kush x Skunk (WOS), Jock Horror (Nirvana), and Plush berry (just 1). I'm only running 1 of the plush berry since I've heard there are hermi issues. I have another clone I saved in the event this one takes a dive. Under lumatek 400 watts all 2 liter hempys with 1:3 vermiculite perlite

I am not really talking about yield,or a micro setup in terms of 12/12 from seed.
To put it simply.I feel a hybrid plant is like a fine wine (more so with Sat leaners),and gets better beyond the 12/12 from seed time frame. Also if one comes across a special pheno, and does not take a clone? It will be lost.Keep in mind that a special plant may yield below average, but may have the best smoke in the garden.

When I do mother selection, sometimes the runner ups are hard to choose from.A second run makes decision making alot easier for me with not only with the 1st runs time in cure for extended testing, but I see enhanced overall profiles sometimes on more mature plants. Not all plants are created equal.

The molasses is the only new item to the plants. I put them under 18/6 to lower the temps. They are still under t5. Partner is too lazy to buy hid lamps ATM. The main effected plant had leaves themat looked green and the brown edges are all over the older leaves. I ripped those off cuz they was blocking all the we budsites. Can't really tell of its gettin better yet. I flushed it too noticed that the roots are all wrapped around the inside til the point of no perlite falls out of the cup. Hopefully the 18/6 schedule will do better. My growroom is currently under construction ATM. 10x11 plus a closet. Put panda film all but the wall with the door. Hard work man! Still waiting on lights and ac unit to come in.

If putting up panda is hard work to you and you plan on having 128 hempys....just wait. It is extremely ambitious to try 128 ( which is a federal felony) plants on your first growing experience. Not trying to be a downer but ,aybe you should do a run with far less plants to get a feel for it. Its a lot of work. Ive done 99 plant large grows and got maybe 4 hours of sleep a day with the grow and my day job. That was using large reservoirs NFT which is .ess work wateri g than 100+ hempys.

I wish you luck.

Also never take leaves off unless they are dead. What does getting light to bud sites matter in veg? If your roots are coiled on the bottom and the perlite comes out in the shape of the cup you will probably want to transplant.

The leaves were brown and curled looking like burnt grass. And I'm bout to transplant in 7 gallon buckets but waiting for a bigger light so that light can get on it. I noticed that light on new growth budsites make it grow faster but idk maybe that's just me. And Bout the 128 thing I got a team and it's required for me to get back what I invested in. It's a personal thing

Curling & burned sounds a lot like nute burn.....if you missed watering by 1/2 a day I could see your girls drooping but rebounding within 30 minutes of feeding (sometimes with a huge growth spurt afterward). T5's are low in heat unless they've grown up into it. I've had mine touch the tube for a day and only slightly caused burn marks where contact occurred. My worry since you mentioned it was "molasses". Some use it as a Cal/Mag substitute....some think it's a sweetener. My opinion only here....I wouldn't add it to a hempy reservoir myself....seems like a great way to start up a fermentation process in the res since hempy's don't drain to waste completely. The great white should be ok, I use a pinch of Piranha in the bottom during start-up as added insurance against bacteria. If you are concerned about heat, it's probably hot in the area....start working on your ventilation....which I consider the most important aspect of a new grow room.

I speak with experience with experimentations.Save the Molasses for soil, and use quality hydro nutes only.
One thing I would like to try down the road is:3 days before chop take one Hempy, and completey flush with tapwater. The last day before chop flush with a mix of orange juice with tapwater. How much oj one uses is up to them. One day I will try this.I know the taste of Molasses comes thru the bud for me (BLAH),and makes the res eventualy smell like a true shit hole.

Adding flavors with the proper technique will produce your favorite variety of smells and taste like whatever you want. Do not pour syrup or similar sugar based flavorings on the harvested herb because sugar will make a harsh taste. The best flavor enhancing starts while the plant is still growing. There are two main approaches, inside out and outside in. You can apply flavors inside the plant while it's still growing and you can try to add flavors after it's been harvested from the outside. Select a flavoring that is very concentrated. Take orange for an example. You could use orange juice but it contains natural sugars. You will find some concentrated flavor extracts in the grocery store. Vanilla extract is cheap and readily available, so is lemon extract (cooking variety). Other extracts can be found in stores that specialize in baking supplies. Vanilla is our favorite taste. A coffee filter works well for filtering fruits but it'll take a while to filter it all. You may have to change filters a few times. Concentrated extracts are the best to use. Use extracts shortly before harvest. Most extracts have sugar in them. Sugar will ferment and decay rapidly, even more so in a hydro unit. With hydro put the flavoring in the water between 1 and 3 hours before harvest. Anything longer will produce harmful bacteria. Plants draw up solution fairly quickly, one hour should be enough for some of the flavoring to reach the top. Three hours should not be enough time for bacteria to grow. Dump out the solution right afterwards and clean out your unit. Use plain water for a few days before harvesting your hydro crop so all that will be in the water will be the flavoring. Soil growing is easier. Let the plant dry out a little before applying the solution. Do it in the watering just before harvest. Give your plants plain water for the last two weeks and near the end do this process. When the plant is somewhat dry and craving water, give the plant the water with the flavor when it's a little bit thirsty and it will draw it right up. One hour is more than enough time. 5. Don't treat your whole crop this way while experimenting. Dirt growers will find this easy because they could use something different in each pot. Hydro people may want to isolate a plant or two with the solution. This wouldn't be very hard because you wouldn't need circulation for the short period of time it would be soaking in it. Try guava, pineapple, grapefruit, cherry, mint or even pina colada. Stronger and more concentrated flavorings will have a more pronounced effect than more dilute products. You need gallons of orange juice to get what you want but a half ounce of concentrated strawberry essence might do the job nicely. In short, experiment and see what works for you.

You know you have Hempy bucket fever when you catch your wife throwing something in the trash and you yell "Wait! I can could make a hempy bucket out of that"!

Dalek on your OJ topic. My son has taken his soil plants and let let dry a bit prior to harvest, then yank out of the pots, knock off as much soil as possible. He then took a bunch of overripe blueberry's or strawberry's mashed it up in a bucket added a little water and slammed the plant root ball into the sauce. He leaves them in there for 2 to 3 days. I've sampled the end product and the taste is good. He did this with a sour diesel and strawberry. and this was not a keeper flavor wise.

I've actually thought of taking frozen OJ concentrate and filling the rez for the final couple of days (thawed out of course). Do you think it would be better to pour it through the medium or pull the plant and place in rez. Dalek I know you would pull the couch and fill the rez, but what's your thought on a 3gal bucket.

LOL!!!
From my experience with molasses the more concentrated (4 tbs per gal max I used) the more it translated to the bud (blah not good).

I am not totaly sure what you are asking but I feel a total rinsing of the roots and some nute depravation prior will aid in uptake of flavoring imho.I have read many times that plants due not uptake sugars, and also read sugars before harvest will add harshness.I do know that molasses tasting weed is shitty cough out loud.No plants are created equal so take notes. When I do get around to further experimenting the guidelines I copy/paste pilford in my previous post sounds good but I would do this: 3 days before chop take one Hempy, and completey flush with tapwater. The last day before chop flush with a mix of orange juice with tapwater. How much oj one uses is up to them.

I would do it with original bucket/medium,but I will make sure to flush with tap to push out precipitates first.Since it is a dying plant anyway, taking it out would prob be best to clean off those roots anyway.I would do a low flavoring to tap ratio and work it up in later experiments because too much of a good thing may not translate to a good thing.

Let me know if this needs clarification, but simply this is a dying plant.Flush nute/precipitate either way.Use low concentration for 1st experiment with 1 day before chop, and work up from there.

Damn my bluedreams are nitrogen hogs..using GH lucas formula but at about 700 ppm with 5.8-6 ph. You an pretty much tell which are BD by how pale they are. I definitely should have been tossing a little grow formula in there for them and prob will tomorrow. Things are looking pretty alright aside from that and slight burn from a greencure application. I find that with my colorblindness i always catch the N deficiency a little later than i should lol.

Orange juice eh? It not beimg a concentrated flavoring im guessing it would be pretty mild? Shit ill try it on a Bd in about 5 weeks.

Day 25 of flowering. Day two or three under 1200 instead of 600.

I'm using Lucas with GH series myself along with floralicious and pineapple rush. I was using botanicare sweet before and they tasted pretty good. I'll know 8 weeks from now when they are ready to chop.
