World Of Hempy

I understand the neglect thing Moe. My over watered plants have not yet responded, if fact they went from bad to worse. I've lost 3 so far. I broke down the pots and found that the roots didn't expand into the new soil after transplant from solo cup to 3quart pots. The soil was extremely firm and packed. I'm wondering if using "Silica Blast" did this to the soil, this was the 1st run I've used it in veg from the start. Anyone here have any experience with silica and soil?

I just finished transplanting 3 veg girls into 2gal hempy's. I removed all the added soil around the original solo cup core, and put it in a perlite coco mix. I went and got some "Piranha" and I'm gonna add some to initial water, of the new buckets, sure hope it helps.

I stopped my 'soil' capping into Perlite when I found a few Hempys hadn't rooted into the Perl. I probably could have discovered/resolved the issue with a bit of thought and effort but it was easier to work with something easier.

Ive not tried the silica's additives or 'piranha'. .. hope the 'piranha' proves useful.

I think I better transplant these clones ... .. I'll do it now. LOL.

I think these cuttings I took may have been too long... oh well.

OMG Moe, you really did take a hiatus....I thought you were exaggerating about being a little lackadaisical. I feel bad for you now. Thanks for sharing however, you have somehow "freshened" my sense of responsibility...I'm pre-mixing my nutes for tomorrow morning right now before I get pretentious and hit the girls with straight water before work.

Yeah it was a bit of a 'hiatus', I kinda got a little too introspective. .... now I'm on the 'up' swing and want to get everything done now. ..... Having all the Ganja I could smoke in a year didn't help either!

I'm going to do that pre-measuring thing you do with the nutes, Jela. Whatever makes things easier is always a boon. Thats another great idea youve given me dude. Nice one!

I should say though that I have probably 60 Hempys that still look great. LOL

Dam moe thats exactly what my nft room with 66 3 foot tall plants looked like after a power strip with my pumps on it failed...but that was only after 24 hours. It really shows how resilient plants in hemp are if thats 9 days! well you should still get good smoke off em if a bit lesss

Can you say a ounce in a 2l from 12/12. Lol. My clones have been in the cloner for about 10 days in just tap water. Most of them are rooting some with pimples. I was thinking of changing out the tap water and put some r/o water (ph to 5. along with some nutes between 100-200 ppm. What do you think? Should I leave it alone with tap water or change it up with some base veg nutes in the cloner?

Yep an Oz 12/12 LOL Whoopee. haha. .. cheating a bit maybe. ... actually this is a lemon strain so I have no idea what it flowers.

.... I would leave your res as is, pimples are good and soon you'll have roots. ... You could top-up with tap if the level has dropped a bit.

Ok good looking out. I'm not going to transplant my P.E. until they have roots long enough to hit the res so hopefully another week or two.

Mornings people. Just wanna share some pics from 1. week of flower. My scrog might be to much, as im getting lazy.
Lemon Skunk is by far the most beautiful plant i have grown. Incredible dark green. Its 55days and has no signs of defficiencies what so evah, thats a first for me.
Critical kush is cathing up. Same age as Lemon skunk but not nearly as big.

oooo I do love Lemon Skunk, It produces the most beautiful, sweet smelling nugs of Lemons. You're in for a real treat.

Hey WoH. Just a little update on my 250w scrog. Day 20 of 12/12. Some yellowing of fan leaves going on, some of which is attributed to the 250's lack of penetration, but I am trying to dial in my nutes and ph to alleviate some of it.

Also have a question about mixing hydro nutes and compost teas.. Is it ok to do so? What about switching in the mid or a grow or around the last month of flowering? Or would this just cause too many issues?

Hi J.Ray, welcome to WOH.

You fried them with too strong a nute solution. What are you giving them?

..... in answer to your question, YES compost teas can be given but ...... I would suggest just dialling in your hydro nutes.

Got 19 quart jars full so far. Damn this skunk is a heavy producer. Everything is ready for jarring except some of the thicker colas. Not dry enough to weight yet but im looking at prob a lb per light. Love a successful grow.

YEAH MAN! .. super pleased for you. puts a big smile on my face to know my Hempy brothers are bringing in the weight.

I'm knuckling down from now on. LOL. Smelled some of the lemon I'm trialling and OMG!

I'm fresh out of bud myself. Just done a run of bubble and about to do another.

I have the GH Flora series. what i had done in the first set of pics was feed with full strength off the Micro/Gro/Bloom...so after figuring it all out i was able to get things back on track..I started using the lucas formula on them.. the second set of pics is all the new growth.. the pics are not that good but the growth is green and thick.. So i think im getting things dialed in.. i have a couple meters coming in the mail. a ppm and a ph meter...once those get here ill be golden...
the reason i asked about the teas is because i was wondering if it would improve flavor....... so i was thinking either mixing hydro nute and compost teas...or waiting until the last month of flower.. flush for a day or two then finish off with compost tea and then flush then harvest..will this improve flavor or anything else? or is it just not worth the time?
