Worms in indoor containers? y/n ?

is it good, not recommended, or bad to have worms in indoor containers?

i should think they'll eat through roots, i Could Be Wrong Though

ive actually thought about doing this a few times myself. im curious to see the results myself

that was my first thought, then i thought that their discharge (vermiculite?) was benefitial to plant life?

Do earthworms eat plant roots?
