Worms in soil? ewww

I currently have one auto afghan kush ryder in a 5 gallon pot. I poked holes in the bottom of the pot with a screw driver for drainage. My 5 gallon pot fits very tightly into another 3 gallon pot that is used to collect the drained water. My sprout is looking very healthy(not stretching or yellowing) and I have already noticed the serrated leaves starting to form. My only concern was this disgusting ass worm I found in my 3 gallon bucket that collects the drained water. The worm was red, 3in long and thin probably a baby worm idk im not a fucking worm expert. I even poured boiling water on the soil(b4 planting) to make sure there weren't any bugs in the soil.(Soil was organic but 6 months old and opened.)

My concern is will these worms be harmful to my plants. I heard that if there are worms than it is good soil. Is this true?
I just dont want to be smoking dead worm guts after I harvest:spew:plus I dont want worms crawling in my house

Also since the 5 gallon pot is pretty airtight with the 3 gallon, does this mean mold or bacteria will form. The water smelled like shit so I disenfected the 3 gallon bucket(one with water) and the bottom of my 5 gallon(one with soil)

Sounds like a red wiggler to me and if that is the case, quite the opposite of your fears. Those guys are EXCELLENT for soil. They only stick around in truly organic setups. The benefits of those guys are far too many to list here. Just know if your soil has worms, you have some A1 soil

I don't know about worms actually wriggling about in their whilst your plant is growing is a good idea , but soil that has had worms in is good stuff,
you can indeed buy worms castings as an exellent organic fertilizer.....
