Worried about my little autos

Hi all,

I got three auto Grand Daddy Purps going, at the start of week 6, and I got sort of a random question:

The plants are still pretty short - under 6 in. - and haven't begun their stretch yet; however, they have fan leaves that are bigger than my hand.

I'm worried that it's not growing in the "right" way (growing bigger leaves but not branches); is there anything I can do to nudge it in the right direction, or should I leave it be? Just making sure I'm being paranoid.

-In DWC
-Using GH Flora nutes, Lucas formula
-Got bacillus and mycorrhizae going
-LED light 18/6 schedule
-Water temps at 67-8 (chiller); changed res today

P.S. kinda realize that these girls are crowded in one tub

Id be happy. They look like they're doing well, you could space them more out if you wanted. Although apparently when you place plants together and their leaves touch it can inhibit vertical growth, so there's that. Im sure the flowering stretch will help though I wouldn't be worried!

Ah, thanks. My concern was that these plants would run out of time or something. Considering moving the middle one out, but it'd be less than ideal - would go back to frozen water bottles for now

They are pretty indica dom they will bush and stretch.
It also looks like they sexed and will move to preflower soon.

Stay the course , they will be fine.
It will look like this ..... When it begins to stretch.

good to know, thanks! i did read that the advertised times might not be exact, so i'll trust the plants (as i have in the past)

My plants are now at ~6.5 weeks from sprouting and still aren't this tall.. At this rate, I'm nowhere near the advertised 10 week cycle o.0

the 10 week cycle is not good information to base anything off really, except to give an idea of how long it takes approximately. Keep in mind it is common to add 2 weeks at least to breeder times.

autos dont have a clock in them like some people say. Its not like one day the plant is gonna be like "oh shit today is day 70 and this mofo growing me didnt finish in time, fuck him" and just turn to shit and die haha

Hahaha this concern is why I posted the thread in the first place.. Just wanted to be sure they weren't just going to stop prematurely and flower w.e is there. I don't mind the slower growth - the roots are getting that much bigger!

They will finish when they are ready. It's a very hard thing to watch but eventually they will take right off and you will be very happy. I always stressed about time, dates and the rest of it. Now I don't follow at all. I would consider a little lighter feeding on them now and a very helpful tip is to hold off on PK nutrients till you see full flowers in effect. This will keep them vegging longer and will equal much larger plants.

Autos finish when they finish ... The first 5 weeks are from seed to SEXING / PREFLOWER add another week for transition .......

THEN .......... BEGIN FLOWERING TIME COUNT.

Autos use the FIRST 30 days or so ( week 4 ish ) or ( 5 ) setting up structure / veg.
It will sex ( hairs ) .... Then move to flowering budsites . So counting FROM SEED is never accurate. Most finish around day 77-83 , some at 66 ( i had a few at this ) , and some push longer ( heavy sativas ). Stick with trich watching only .

Hi all, got (yet) another question/issue..

Flowers have begun filling in for the past week or so now, and the leaves are still wayy too green; I feel like they've been too green (too much N?) this entire time.

I've since started diluting the nute level because idk what else to do.. peak feeding had been at 650ppm (roughly 0-6-12, using GH flora nutes at Lucas ratio); I've brought it down to about 350ppm (again, keeping the same ratio, just added plain water to dilute)

My question is, is there anything else I can do to help my plants? Just to share what I have in terms of nutes, I am using GH flora micro + bloom; I also have GH floralicious and kool bloom, but I've stayed away from both this time around.

I was wondering if there is anything else I should feed them (my guess is something with no N, but a little PK?), or if I should just stick with the weaker nute levels that I'm using now.

Too many kids in the pool.... Should be no more than 2 per tote. Your giving limited light to the under growth. That alone inhibits your results. I also grow Lucas DWC. Gotta give the girls some room.

Ah yes, I agree completely! I'll only be doing one or two plants in this tote moving forward.

I suspected it'd be a problem, but I went ahead and did it anyway. These are not excuses, but hopefully explanations: I had gotten 3 free auto seeds and wanted to pop all of them; I'm terrible with throwing away seedlings if they're healthy; I recently got a chiller and was lazy about using it for one DWC tub (instead of building a chilled res for multiple buckets); by the time I changed my mind, the roots were tangled

I also have always pruned in the past, but I was also curious to see how a plant goes out naturally. This is also my first time growing autos
