Will a seed germinate in Gatorade/Powerade

So I was just watching Idiocracy and this thought came to mind? Can I germinate a seed in Gatorade/Powerade Just wondering if it would work? Who thinks it will work? I was at my friends dry warehouse where his recent crop was pollinated by accident outdoors >:(. I’m sad for him cuz it was about a half of acre. So being that is Halloween he gave me a bunch of seeds for “trick or treat” and I am going to try to germinate one tonight for the hell of it.

I got a hand full of seeds that I’ll never be able to get 2 in time anyways. So I figure why not. But knowing me your probably right, That one would be The best pheno knowing my luck

why not just put it in water like any sensible person would do?

I'd say yes but no.

The drinks have too much salt. So the bean might pop but it would die pretty quickly due to salt OD.

You could always find someone less fortunate than you here on RIU and give them to someone to grow. Just a thought if you just want to get rid of some since you will never grow them. Find someone in your country and than the cost of a couple stamps will make you their hero.
