Would it be unusual if life is unusual

If you look at all of the universe you see repeatition so wouldn't it be unusual that life and even intelligent life unusual (meaning we are that our planet is the only place in the universe with life). It may be possible but I believe it is unlikely. I also think it is worth noting that I think we are in one of an infanite amount of universes in a sea of negative inflation therefore life would be inevitable.

Ignorance...you think we are the only living creatures in the universe...wtf? oh yah the earth is flat too? lol

it would just be wrong to think we are only it...here on earth...there are many so called earth like planets that we just have not been able to see and study, and if nasa or whatever actually new of a new earth-like planet , would they tell us about it? or just keep it secret?
 
They tell us all the time. The problem is that these planets are light years away, so direct observation is nearly impossible. Basically you are just assuming there must be life out there? No facts, or even a logical argument, just an assumption?

Others, I know it sounds like a super stoner question but this/these theories are some of the more predominant one. Oh and yeah it's great dro

Until an alien ecosphere is proven to exist, the position "we seem to be alone" is quite valid imo.
I don't think NASA would be the one to find a living alien world ... their bailiwick is much closer to home. I'd look to the observatories, and it is their profession to shout results. cn

I'm not talking about the planets we are just recently finding. Im saying if you look at patters in our solar system, other solar systems, plus the infinite size of the universe, it seems very plausible. If you look at everything in the universe you see patters, what is to say life isn't part of one.

We are alone because we don't have the technology to travel to other "worlds", we are but a grain of sand on the beach.

Nasa..or whoever? would they tell us if they found life outside our planetary system? Im guessing not.

As speculation, I can't fault the idea. Science has some catch-up to do before we have a good handle on what the preconditions are for a planetary surface to evolve life. We need to know that in order to assign probabilities, to fill in some terms in that ugly bit of blue-sky beer talk that is the Drake equation. cn
 
A: we can't travel far now but in time we might be able to.
B: Maybe NASA wouldn't tell us but there are privately funded organizations.
