Would this be Ph problem?

Alright I have a problem and yes it's ugly and embarasing. ahh not really that embarasing.:joint:

A little info first. indoor cabinet grow. veggin 24/0 4 27 watt clf's

Soil-started in a cheap pro-mixbx/perlite/vermiculite mix. ratio about 4 part soil 3 part perlite 2 part vermiculite. when problem started I thought it was over watering due to heavy mix so I transplanted carefully removing with added water 50% of the old mix into a better shultz mix with slow release ferts .08 .12 .08. Aslo a little more perlite in ratio.

Pots- started in beer cups transplanted to 1 gallon.

Ph- I use tap water put out for a day or 2 and ph'd to neutral or just under. I only have an aquarium tester so I cannot test the soil properly.

Nutes. shultz soil mix-- .08 .12 .08
liquid -- veg nutes unsure of npk levels only used once after first transplant at very low ppm prob 1/8 strenght or less. And today after leeching about 1/8 to 1/4 strength in last 2 litres of leech water.

Heres the deal!

I started 3 endless sky seeds along with a indoor mix seed from the same company. Also have some other plants growing in the same conditions watering feed etc. signs of trouble looked like overwatering right from the start.

Picture 1. 3 Endless sky 28 days old.
left and center browning.
Right drooping spoting.

Left and center plants leaves turned brown (little yellowing) at the tips and slowly continued up the leaves untill started to dry out and curl up. At this time the next new set of leaves would start browning just the same, this proccess has continued untill present PICTURE2 with the browning going at the same rate as growth.(kinda like it's chasing the new growth new set starts 2 nd set tips start 3 rd set dried and falling off, over--and -over, and over. (pic3) If we remove browning leaves before they dry and fall off the browning spreads faster.

Pictured Right. This one didn't brown up like the others, maybe a little more yellow on first set er 2 but they drooped right down like an over watering problem. then the leaves became spoted like possibly a ph prob or lockout? Since the transplant into 1 gallon it has healthy new growth.old leaves still down. Actually looks the most healthy now.(Pic4)above (Pic5)side.

Have grown a few crops great, always lucky I guess, ne input would be great I can take ne thing just shoot. I know a ph pen is on the top o the list. :joint:

The interesting thing about this problem is that it seems to be only affecting the one strain of our seedlings that are in the same conditions.soil/water/light etc. and 2 of our plants in the flower room got bad yellowing at the approx same time frame.

(Pic1) Indoor mix from same breeder.

(Pic2) Romulin clone 29 days old from cutting.

(pic3) A cross we made seedling.

(pic4) A trained romulin plant. yellowing started about 3 weeks into flowering. that seems better now.

(Pic5) bagseed at 8 weeks yellowing started 5 weeks and affected mostly just the fan leaves.

thanks fletch I was thinkin the same but I'm not sure if it's from lack of N or if it's gettin locked out ph issues? only reason I say I'm a little more worried bout the seedlings in the first post, find it hard to believe they would be N deficient? as everything else in there is fine? I just don't know ? will see if leech and re fert helps.

the seedlings have been in 1 gallon for only a few days had no root bound signs looked good. the last pic in 2nd post was only 21 inches at 8weeks flowered at 51/4 inches 5 nodes with 2 gallons soil.

Soil with slow release ferts are a pain in the a$$! I believe it is caused by your soil. Nute burn.

alright some nice advice thnks. i think we may be on the right track as we have planed now that the weather is warmer to head out to our local compost yard to make a new mix. this is from a monthly town collection and is turned every year so this stuff will be 3- 5 year compost.

how does this sound 2-3 parts compost-3-4 parts sunshine mix no nutes. lol 2-4 parts perlite as needed as I feel the mix. 1-2 cups dolemite lime. Mollasses feedings? that's the plan right now. who knows what'l happen. don't really want to get to deep into meals, and kelp and difficult stuffto get often yada yada yada.

I hear ya!!! I'm using the double potting method so I may leave the slowfert mix that there in and just pop the pre cut bottom off and place on top of my new mix in a 1 or 2 gallon bucket. might help me a bit. I'm just gonna grow em out. F it I have more seeds ne way I'll keep 1 in veg just for learning exp. Don't want to completely give up, You in case it's something completely different then I wouldn't have learned a thing. just thought i did. :joint: :peace:

idk what it is, its not nitrogen dificancy. mine are doing the same thing, and im usein 24:8:16 on mine at 1/4th strenght every other day. it could possibly be that ur ph lvls r off could also be netruitent burn. cing as how netruitent burn usually effects the outside of the leaves first then moves inwards i assume its ph lvls off causein neturitent lock. mine started happening about a week ago, i have been usein only water lately on them. ill let u no if my conditions increase any.

if u find out the prob, please email me and vice versa.

happy grow ^^
