hahaha i cant imagine finding one of those by my grow, i would be pissed. take everyones advice here into account. if it were me, id go back there with my pistol and a ski mask and get shit done. all in all interesting post.

Get a sim card reader, they are like 20 bucks, you can read to find out the last few message/numbers that were called. Goto a payphone and call the numbers on there, see what you can find out. You could set this device up with a different sim card and a different spot, and monitor who was monitoring you.

I posted a thread about this same device, regarding using it to monitor your own crop. It's like 800 dollars for one of these, if its aimed at your crop i would be worried, because when a picture is taken, it sends it to another phone via SMS. If your spot is secluded enough, you could always try a night harvest (if its the cops they will most likely not do a stake out during the day). But then again with this device, if it's the cops who put it there, they prolly already have enough evidence to knock him for cultivating.

i would go back but go with some friends and make it look like you all are just going for a walk or camping then walk near them to see if their there and see if you can tell if its been distured and go from there. more cameras run like hell. remember if you get cought your just taking a walk. happy harvest.

could the camera possibley be on the game trail yoour friend uses to get to his plants and back and not focused on the plants at all? if they are hidden the landowner might not of even noticed em. i was leasing some hunting land and decided that scouting in spring would be a decent time to start plants, the landowner(farmer) passed them many times a day and never noticed them even.....its a long shot but is it possible he just got freaked out by a hunters scouting efforts? shoulda left the camera and all that once he found out it didnt have any pics of him. now the owner is definetley gonna be watching for tresspassers more diligently

If it was me I get harvest them as soon as possible and I would leave the camera apart wipe it down (fingerprints) and leave it in plain sight and leave a little note being a straight up smart ass telling them that they can take the camera and shove it up their ass. But thats me I love fucking with people esp. the bacon patrol

You said there was a sim card on that thing... If so, it was likely beaming its images somewhere using GPRS or a similar technology. Your friend might already have been photographed a number of times. I would be shit paranoid!

It does not look like an animal camera...that camera is way to hardcore to be a little camera to take pictures of deer.

I got a knock and talk once. No warrant, nothing. "friend" rolled on me. I took it as a warning, not a false alarm. Indoor hydro means easy to dispose of 12 plants (month into flower), 20 clones, and all the goodies. Take it from me, tell that buddy to walk awy empty handed. Have also had two OD crops stollen, one by another "friend". Part of the game, don't do it if you can't live with the losses....

One thing I learned is that you can't tell ANYONE. That means no one. All of these threads and forums posted on line for everyone to enjoy, and not all of us are honest people. My point is, the forums should be used with caution because someone else is looking at them for bounty, not for beauty. It wouldn't take much for a "friend" to figure out who is doing what and where. I don't think it is the cops of feds... They are more concerned with getting weed off the streets. Generally (at least in cali) once they find a crop they destroy it pretty quickly. I would finish the season if it were me. But I would only go in the dead of night. Just curious, but how large of an operation are we talking about here? How many plants?
