Huh lol ?
Huh lol ?
Mainly because I have seen so many people killing it with coco. I was growing in organic soil, but that got to be too much work, and my yields weren't always what they should be. This is actually my first run with coco, and some of the nicest plants ever, with 3 familiar strains....In week 4 and the sugar is off the charts. And so much less work than mixing super soil, letting it cook, hauling it in and out of a basement, etc.
Oops, my apologies....I missed that it was a duplicate.duplicate thread
I like dwc because of simplicity when it comes to waste. The fact that water is basically free, and because it's basicly pest free. I've herd horror stories about gnats and coco. They come with the bag lol.Mainly because I have seen so many people killing it with coco. The one bad thing about coco is it needs to be watered daily. My plants in flower are on automated feeding but the veg plants are not and it's a PITA watering daily, so I need to fix that. They grow super fast in coco though...
I really don't know anything about DWC honestly...Is that how you grow? I have heard good things about it though. Why do you like DWC?
I did aero originally.
Sorry if TMI....I am baked
I have read a flush is good especially if you don't water til runoff, BUT you do need to resume feeding immediately.Do a slurry test. Know your ec and ph. Y guess
With coco you are hydroponic in my eyes. You shouldn't flush and leave them with no food. The coco retains little and provides nothing
I did heed warnings about cheap coco, and bought the Canna Brand. No issues. And I have a IPM program. Luckily not to many pest issues here, but I know some areas are really bad.I like dwc because of simplicity when it comes to waste. Dwc is good I’ve seen very good results off them I would simply rather hand feed mine then I know where I stand for so many friends who’s tanks have burst and flooded there house it’s a no go for me and Yh I water every 2 days with coco never had a problem before and this is like my 8 th grow lolMainly because I have seen so many people killing it with coco. Truly waste and bringing in supplies are my biggest worries going back to something other than dwc. I'm in the city so to many eyes to always be dumping perlite littered soil into my yard and walking in with huge bags of medium.I have read a flush is good especially if you don't water til runoff, BUT you do need to resume feeding immediately.
Yeah I just learned how quick things can go wrong in coco...It IS hydro!! I had a few veg plants dry out and they looked likie hell the next morning.

They say good quality coco can be re-used a few times, but yes in the city it's different for sure.Truly waste and bringing in supplies are my biggest worries going back to something other than dwc. I like getting my medium out the sink and dumping it down the drain once a week.
Yh I deleted the duplicate I didn’t know which thread to post it on my bad Oops, my apologies....I missed that it was a duplicate.
Yep OP, no duplicates....It's confusing, and annoying and the rules, but now you know.
Never had gnats in coco it’s more like compost if you use that your going to experience a lot of pest and mushrooms growingI like dwc because of simplicity when it comes to waste. Salt precipitates fast and then bam you've messed up your CEC and burnt your plants. Don't ask how I knowI have read a flush is good especially if you don't water til runoff, BUT you do need to resume feeding immediately.
