Would you say this was heat stress? pics to show

Hi once again

Just wondering if anyone can confirm my problem. Im about sure its down to temp problems due to the hot either recently in the U.K. My temps soared to a max of about 32-36 on more than 1 occasion over the last 2 weeks.

On 2 of the plants the leaves seem much slimmer and whimpy looking compared to my last grow of the same type. Would this be due to heat stress?

6 plants in total, 1 Evil, 1 berry bomb (the baby 1), 2 100% kandy kush and 2 that are either KK or cheese. The 2 kandy kush (and my favorite) seem to be effected the most.


1 you will notice seems to be stunned somewhat, with pale leaves are quite slim and short. I grew KK and cheese last time and had no issues, and certainly didnt get any stunned or slim. Maybe shes just a skinny ole bird!

They are approx 3 weeks into Veg, under 600w of HPS..Growing in 70% coco and 30% perlite - feeding Canna a + b, with rhizo and zym, via an auto-pot system. EC at 1.5 - 1.6...PH is at a constant 5.8


Hopefully you can tell which is which from my pics - and any educated guesses will be appreciated

Also I guess they will recover with time?

Heat stress or not enough water, what's your watering schedule?

Im using an auto-pot system. So its pretty much drink when they need it,,the plants res will empty and remain dry for a very short time, then auto refills.
The pots are always quite well moisture to be honest. An inch or so under the soil is always damp
Pretty sure its not a problem with the system as many use these and swear by them.

id say the plants look healthy but droopy from the heat what are your temps like?

sorry just seen post but ye i been at 30 myself for two weeks no ill effects tho apart from a bit cupping

we have had some beautiful weather lately in the Uk. At times my temps rose to a max of 36c/96f during the early part of the day when my lights were on. That was at its worst, and then it wasnt for long. At a guess id say the average temp over the last 2 weeks, with lights on, has been 30 - 32. Lights off max about 24 - 28. too high i know but not a lot i can do without aircon.

last few days has seen our weather retrun to normal (i sa normal, even tho is summer) and max temps are 28c.

I would bet heat. 36c or 96f is way too hot.

IMO you havent quite got the auto pot watering tuned in. Maybe a bit more time between refills would help...and 96 is awfully hot. Maybe a combo of the two?

The water regulation is out of my hands in a way. The auto-pot system is designed to give it the perfect wet/dry cycle. there are no pumps, or settings to be played with. Its all gravity fed.

How can any system know how to give the perfect wet/dry cycle? But I guess my bad, didnt know you could not regulate the cycles. They still look water and heat stressed too me though...

Looks like a water problem,but listening to ya it's got to have heat stress.
