The Shonan Maru 2 was the one that took out an Australian $1.8M boat that was being used to fight whaling. They intentionally (IMO) rammed the boat while it was floating in the ocean and the members of the ship hanging out on top of the boat

December 1941, Pearl Harbor attack - March 2011, 9.0 Earthquake in Japan, let's see here, there must be some way to tie these two events together.....OK, try this, GOD in His infinite wisdom decided that after 66 years of peaceful, prosperous co-existence with the people of Japan, it was time to open some old wounds, dust off grudges, and restart WWII, yeah....that must be it.
I'm one of a very few people in this forum that has actually lived through BOTH of these events. As a 5 year old, I hated those "dirty yellow Nip's", "they" knocked 24 of my father's teeth out with the butt of a rifle, and I knew "they" wanted to kill ME!
The war is over, the 5 year old has grown up and upon reflection I understand my feelings of that time. However, to carry such feelings and attitude around for 70 years would be ridiculous and just plain sick!
To attribute this horrific, natural disaster as "Karma", "God's will", or some kind of "payback" on the Japanese people.............well, words just fail me at this point...................................BB
