wrong light times

my friend and i have grown a beautiful bag seed plant for a few months now. and its looking nice. only problem is my friend has been growing it under 12/12 the hole time. i have told him hes retarded. is there a light cycle i could still change it to to get it into its flowering stage?

i know that. thats the problem i tryed to tell him to vegi it 18/6 but he was to gay to buy a timer/or to just keep up with it and went to 12/12 like 2 weeksinto growing. how can i switch the lights to start a 12/12 plant flowering? would i swich to even less light to make it think if fall(flowering time?

your plant must mature before it can flower, with 12/12 and autoflowers they veg till they are mature then start flowering.nothing to do, you can go to 18/6 or 24/0 again if you dont have any preflowers yet. but i would leave it as is personally

Its not retarded if you have time/space constraints. Many growers choose to go 12/12 from seed. Keep the 12/12 and it will flower.
