WTF? The Purps Problems - Pics included

So I picked up 12 The Purps clones just this last Sat. (Nov twenty-eighth) I put them in ocean forest soil w/perillite, watered with nutriboost and 1/2 teaspoon epsom salt (for my hard water to help with mg lockout which I have had in the past), and now about half are dying pretty rapidly and half are doing just fine. This is not my first grow, or my first experience with this strain but I can't figure out what the hell is going on. everything I said above I've done before with great results. However, It looks like extreme nute burn or lock out, yet neither of those should be an issue. last night I watered heavy to flush, but to no avail as of now.

Here's some more details

Light 1000w HPS was 24, just switched to 18/6 today
PH is 6.5
No I didn't fert them
My waters is kinda hard 150ppm (but I've never had a problem w/that before)
Temp is 75-85
Ventilation is great

Any Ideas/Suggestions?

The one time I had plants look like that was the very first time I added epsom salt to the mix... Could you of possibly added too much epsom salt? That will lockout nutrients

Sorry, I forgot to mention the mix ratio. 1/2 teaspoon per 2.5 gal, so 1 teaspoon per 5 gal which I've done before without harm and isn't all too much Epsom salt, but I guess it could be for the ones with less developed root systems.

The light is literally at 18" from the tops of them and the temp at the tops of the plants are 80 degrees right now as they usually are, give or take a few degrees.

I'm thinking about taking them out, heavily flushing the root system, re-potting them in new soil and watering with distilled water.

Any thoughts?

well, that may help, but its a big risk. I'd get a few more ideas from other people before you go all out, but it does look like a drastic situation.

why not feed them if they have roots ??

I don't think it's heat or light stress considering the same strain has done well before in the exact same environment. I don't want to feed them because I know the soil has plenty of nutes in it already and I'm pretty darn sure that will only make things worse, or more difficult/confusing to diagnose at the least. The healthier ones show a very very small sign of possibly becoming this way. considering that journey1111 has experienced a similar situation and thought epsom salts to be the culprit, I decided to clearex the plants at 10ml a gal to try to resolve this issue. They're only getting worse and I needed to take some course of action. I'm hoping this will do the trick. I'll post again when I can see a change for the better....or for the worse.
