I'm currently on 60 mgs of methadone once a day, and I do not feel it at all. It just keeps me from getting sick. I was all messed up on herion, so I got on the methadone. I had taken methadone pills and liquid methadone before I was really addicted to opiates, and I got extremely high off methadone. But when you are going to a clinic for opiate dependance you shouldn't be there to get a buzz. When I started on the first day they dosed me at 30 mg, and I acually felt it a little bit. I went up 5 mgs every day until I got to 60mgs. After the first month or so, I couldn't even tell that I was really even on anything. I wasn't sick from withdrawal, but I wasn't all nodding out either. I was basically normal. The only side effect that I noticed is that its pretty easy for me to take a nap during the day if I'm not busy. I'm actually about to start getting off this shit starting next week. I've been paying a $100 every week for a little over a year, and the clinic decided to raise the weekly fee to $110 starting next week. It's fucking expensive, but it was much cheaper than the alternative was. It will take me months to get winged off the shit, so I'm not in any hurry. I plan on doing it right. I have to stay away from opiates the rest of my life. They are very bad news for me. I plan on smoking weed like a champ though!

I couldnt imagine the horror of having to check in to a clinic. The pain to quit some your addicted to. Take more drugs to fix a drug problem. Getting high to fix a high

Is there any difference between liquid and pill form of Methadone? Does it produce any high?

methadone is one of the strongest long lasting buzz around, IMHO. maybe different people have different effects.

I kicked a nicotine habit cold turkey, if you want to look at success rate only 4 percent of nicotine users trying to quit make it one year. I've been taking xans for a couple years at the rate of 2 mg a day without fail(although I like to save up a few and only take one a day during the week and enjoy a recreational dose on the weekend). The world won't be a safe place if my doc ever decides to take them away.

I only have the option of liquid methadone at the clinic I go to, but there is another clinic not to far away that gives you the option of pills or liquid. I have taken both before on the street, and its all methadone. No difference at all to me, but I know some people who like the pills better. I guess it's all personal preference.
I don't get high off of what I take everyday, but I am not taking it to get a buzz. If you aren't taking methadone all of the time you will get a very strong buzz off of it. It lasts much longer than your normal opiates. Thats why I can take it once in the morning and not feel sick at all when I wake up the next morning and take my dose again. Vicodins and Percocets only last like 6 to 8 hours. I believe they are called short acting opiates or something like that. I am by no means a professional, so I can't say for sure.
